(Y/n) couldn't sleep that night, how could you be able to sleep knowing that you are going to be burned alive and that there is nothing anyone you love can do anything about it, nobody will even know she passed. (Y/n) was filled with paranoia, heart being out of her chest, eyes glued open wide scanning every corner of the prison that she calls her bedroom. In her hand was a kitchen knife in case she had to start a fight even though without any mirrors (Y/n) won't even have an escape.

(Y/n) knew her death was an inevitability, fighting back was just pausing the clock marching to her death.

(Y/n) turned to the side head pressed against the hard wall, (Y/n) felt eyes boring into her, she turned her head ever so slightly hoping to catch the man staring at her, before she could even see the person, on reflex she took out her knife and charged.

Matt grabbed her hand before she could hurt him, not even batting an eye, when (Y/n) realized that it was Matt she pulled the knife back.

"A way to escalate things (Y/n)" Matt said in a hushed whisper. "Come on, you don't have time to loose!"

(Y/n) batted her eyes. "You changed your mind?"

Matt gulped, grabbing her hand. "Yes, but you barely have ten minutes, they all are planning how to burn you alive."

(Y/n) dotted around the room letting Matt grab her wrist. "Lead the way"

Matt led (Y/n) down a couple passages and hallways to a wooden door that (Y/n) though having seen before never really questioned. Right at that doorway was Lutz leaning against it casually.

"Oh, that was quick, I was beginning to worry about you two, anyways get a move on."

Lutz moved out of the way to reveal the doorway. Behind it was a dark dusty staircase.

Matt nodded at Lutz and he smiled back. Matt went up the stairs, before (Y/n) was able to get past the doorway Lutz stopped her.

"I'm gonna miss you kid, you really changed my perspective of my own morals, please never return."

(Y/n) laughed. "I promise I won't."

(Y/n) waved at Lutz and Lutz waved back, Matt grabbed her hand as he led her up the staircase locking the door to the attic.

Lutz closed the door satisfied, satisfied that he was finally able to help an innocent child and satisfied that she was finally leaving this place. Lutz was so lost in thought he didn't notice the tall shadow behind him, slowly creeping up with a tranquilizer in hand.

The actual attic was just as she expected, a large messy place that reeked of weed and cigarettes. (Y/n) followed him to a closed off door with blankets covering it. Matt broke down the door with a couple of punches and kicks. The binds to the door eventually broke down letting Matt and (Y/n) inside.

The room-less of a room and more of a hallway looked like it stretched miles, the hallway was black illuminating s light at the end, the place appeared as a nights sky with stars floating around the hallway. Their were no obvious barriers for the walla so (Y/n) just stayed close to Matt.

(Y/n) was observing the beauty of the hallway spinning around. Matt giggled. "Welcome to the chapters, an abyss on the other side of the mirror. On the other side is a mirror machine where you can go Into any side of the mirror you want, are you sure you just want your life to return to normal?"

Matt started walking, (Y/n) followed Matt, "Yes, all I want to do is go home and let this nightmare end!"

Matt chuckled stopping in his tracks. "God kid, you make me laugh.." Matt picked up speed in the seemingly never ending hallway.

(Y/n) grunted, "I am serious, I want to just go home to Rosemary and live the rest of my life without being bothered by a 2p again."

Matt sighed looking at (Y/n) and walking backwards. "Do you know why I truly wanted to help you in the beginning? You were just a random innocent kid. I knew you would never truly be a threat and why anyone here really cared confused me and still confuses me even now. I helped you out of pity.

You are just average, you aren't special enough for them to waste their time on you but not for some reason not boring enough to die in their grasp. You deserve to return to your regular life without having to deal with anything spectacular again.

Because now looking back you are in a way kind of special-nothing spectacular but interesting, or maybe you were just born with a large amount of luck. I don't know but whatever it is it kept you alive this long..

Is that what you want, to live a mediocre 9-5 life?"

(Y/n) turned away from Matt at that existential question, she grunted at Matt. "I don't want to die, I love adventure, just because I'm leaving one doesn't mean I'm never going on another again!"

Matt took that comment into consideration and sighed. "God I used to be you kid, head full of high hopes , dreams, adventures. Then you grow up and realize life isn't an adventure and more of a story, where you go with that story is up to you.

Honestly I'm just walking the road of life alone, where that road goes I have no idea but here I am, walking alone. I often get lost on that road but it no longer phases me, whatever corner I get myself into I find a way out.

Most of the time it feels like my only friend is my shadow but even my shadow doesn't stay with me all the time. Once in a while someone comes to walk beside me, like you right now but no matter who it is or what I think of them, they go in their own way to walk their own path, their own story.

I choose to not follow anyone else's road because frankly what they think if my personal road is none of their business. Though it seems as if I'm just convincing myself there will be an end to this forever long road, but no matter what I can't stop walking.

You kid have just started your road and nobody knows where you will go, towards death? Maybe I am wrong and you will find yourself on another adventure, It's really about where you lead yourself, but the thing about the road is you don't know any of the ways to go, things just happen, once in a while you can manipulate what happens but those times tend to come and go.

I hope one day I will be able to walk that road with someone other than myself, maybe find myself a woman to spend the rest of that story with me, someone to complete my story book, someone to walk these empty streets and confusing roads with me, For the most part I live in despair but maybe having someone to feel just as confused as me with would feel less lonely.

Maybe none of what I'm saying is true and I'm just spewing shower thoughts, but that is how I view the world. I just hope when the world views me, it views me as someone whose story is worth being told."

The twi stopped at a machine, it was made of glass and had a keyboard with letters and numbers on it. Inside the glass was a full sized mirror that looked like it could be manipulated by what you type on the keyboard.

"Well, here we are, kid. It's time to go home."

"I can't believe it, Everything is finally over, Matt I am going to miss you-"

"No you aren't Eyebee, you won't even remember me, I'm not helping you to be remembered, I'm helping you so you don't die."

"Oh..." (Y/n) gulped.

The two sat in silence and Matt typed in the correct universe that (Y/n) wanted to go to. The mirror started to crack a little bit and shake turning black, the two stepped back as the mirror started shaking uncontrollably. The mirror went completely black as the glass broke all at once, the mirror turned a dark shade of prussian blue swirling into a spiral.

"Well, hop in kid."
