But how could someone so weak and fragile cause such destruction, they would ask. Her smile was too pretty to be so evil, Apollo had noted. And Hecate would never make a daughter so wicked when she is so wondrous to my own, Demeter had claimed. Hermes, too had backed his old friend up, Hecate was marvelous company. And Zeus, well Zeus had always had a soft spot for the sorcerous whose help went so often overlooked.
So the babe the fates claimed was evil rising, was disregarded.
Seventeen years later, Olympus would realize its mistake. But it had been too late because the world had erupted into chaos.
