To say that life felt right for a change, was the most thrilling feeling in the world. Elton has finally met that person who understands him on a level that no one else could. Bernie Taupin. And I absolutely adore him. But of course, I wasn't going to live down my drooling incident from the cafe. Elton would make sure of it.
"Good morning sunshine doll!" I chuckled from Elton's name he's had for me since I can't even remember when, remembering last nights conversation on Bernie. I do like the guy. He's funny, cute, crazy talented. He's the whole package. But normally, I don't act like this over a guy. Ever. I just go out with them, kiss and whatever, then dump them. I know it sounds cruel. But I'm always afraid to let anyone else in my life. Another reason to get hurt is what I always say. But maybe I should stop that. At least that's what my dad keeps telling me. Don't let your mother rule how you live your life and who you trust, he always says.
"Good morning moon child of mine. Did you even sleep?" He was sat at the piano that's been in my family for generations. My grandfather was an avid player, one of the best I knew. Him and Elton got along so amazing. But he passed and left a hole in my heart. Kind of explains why I am the way I am. People either leave, die, or hurt me. But he didn't. Elton hasn't. And my dad hasn't. And I don't want to jinx it.
"Are you mad? I have all this staring me in the face. What makes you think I would have slept?" He sent me the look, the one that told me I should know him better than that by now.
"Well Dick will love it. Trust me. By the way, I don't think he'll want you coming in with only your knickers on. So maybe a fashion overhaul is in order hmm?" I smirked from his playful swat to my arm, leaving the music master to his work. His soft playing floated into the kitchen as I made myself a cup of tea with honey, thinking of a certain long haired, cute guy and his smile.
"Miss Alice, ooooooh Miss Alice, yeah she's got the hots for a Taupin. And I know she won't last not a minute more, before she's on the floor, begging please...." My eyes widened from Elton's sudden belting of lyrics through the entire house, rushing into the room to see his playful smile on his lips. And a wiggle of the eyebrows to drive me even more insane.
"Elton John! Have we not taught you better than that?! Good grief...." My dad scared the mess out of both of us with his sudden scream. But I could see the gleam of humor shining brightly in his eyes.
"Oh I swear Elt, I'm going to get you for this one. Don't you even worry." I threw my arms around his shoulders, ruffling his hair along the way with a laugh escaping me.
