You've been a counselor at Camp Campbell for about 3 years now, and you've taken a liking to a certain... happy-go-lucky counselor. You try to flirt with him, being the confident person you are, but he never notices, somehow it all goes over his head. You flirt with him every chance you get, but each time ends in failure. everyone but David has noticed your despite attempts at love, even Gwen, she's even tried to help but it never works.

(Y/N POV)

"Ya'know, he's kinda dense", Gwen stood beside me with her arms crossed as I stared over at the freckled red head. "He's not dense Gwen, he's... pure, yah that's it, pure", Gwen gave me an unimpressed look, "Right~". David was helping Nikki out of a tree while the other kids listened to Neil's lesson on the Pythagorean theorem.

"So are you ever going to tell David about the crush you've had on him for about two years", I shrugged, "One, its been three years, and two, ill do it eventually, I mean he's gotta catch on soon, right?", Gwen put both her hands on my shoulders. "Y/N, this is David were talking about, the guy didn't even realize Max and Neil were dating even though he walked in on them cuddling!", I thought for a minute. "True", maybe I should just tell him. "Tell ya what, ill talk to David to see if he's caught on yet, and if he hasn't you'll tell him how ya feel", I hugged Gwen. "Thank you, this helps a lot", she sighed "No problem", Gwen pulled away and walked over to David, he was standing around idoly after helping Nikki.

(Gwen POV)

"Hey David, can I talk to you for a sec?", David quickly spun around.

"Sure Gwen, what is it?"

"Have you noticed anything about how Y/N acts around you?"

"Well iv noticed that they've been flirting with me for 3 years"

"Wait you've noticed that!?", he let out a nervous giggle. "Well yah Gwen, I'm not an idiot", oh, well great now, I feel bad! "Well then why have you been acting like your completely oblivious to it!", he scratched the back of his neck, (I'm starting to see a pattern here-) "I-I don't wanna get hurt again...", I cocked my head to the side. "What do you mean?", I could see tears forming at the corners of his eyes. "I mean, I don't want to get used again like with Daniel. Or heart broken again like with bonquisha", holy shit, I didn't know it actually effected David this much. "Plus, why would someone as great as Y/N like me", David wiped away a few tears. "I don't know, maybe you should ask them", he put his hands up in defense. "N-no way, t-they would probably think I'm p-pathetic o-or needy", jease, iv never seen this side of David before. I started pushing David towards Y/N, "Trust me David, Y/N likes you A LOT, just tell them how you feel, and I promise they'll say they feel the same way", David started to tense up. "And h-how do you know that?", I rolled my eyes. "Because David, your all they talk about, they've been wanting to confess for awhile".

We reached Y/N, "Ok you two go talk it out in our cabin, ill watch the kids", before either of them could respond I left to go tease Max and Neil. I'm a great match maker.

(Y/N POV)

David's face was a little red it kinda looked like he was.... "David are you ok, you look like you've been crying?!", he put on one of his obviously fake smiles. "D-don't worry about me, I'm fine really", I gave him an unimpressed look. "David I know your lying, please tell me what's wrong", I put my hand on his shoulder. He let out a sigh of defeat "Fine, fine, but can we at least talk in private?", I turned in the direction of the cabin "Of course".

We walked to the cabin and sat side by side at the end if my bed. "So, what's bothering you?", he looked away from me. "I know that you've been flirting with me for the past 3 years, and all I want to know is why? Why me?", I could hear the pain in his voice. "Well because... I like you", he hugged his knees up to his chest, "Why would you like me? Your cute, funny, confident, compared to you I'm...nothing. I don't deserve you", how long has David been thinking this low of himself? "Don't say that David, your an amazing person, the only thing you don't deserve is all this pain you've been going through", I pulled David into a hug. "I like you because your always there to help pick up my spirits, because your no matter what your always able to pull though any problem, no matter how big it is", I started running my fingers through his hair. "So don't you ever think your nothing, because to me, your everything".

Me and David spent the rest in the day in the cabin, talking, reading, watching T.V. and just lying around in general. "Y/N?", I hummed in response. Right now I was sitting on David's bed with his head in my lap and I was playing with his soft red hair. "Does this mean were....dating?", I thought for a minute. "Only if your ok with it", he gave me a shy smile, "I-I'm ok with it".

Wow another short one, anyway if you couldn't already tell David is my favorite character and apparently the only character I have motivation to write about. I have a couple requests I have to work on but the requests are still open. Also my irl friend now follows me on here but I don't know if she is reading my stories, if you are...hi, this is what my life has gotten to.
