The lawyer was in the middle of arguing with the detective about the state of Steven's mind when he spoke up, "Who are you?"
"Mr. Bogarry, I'm not surprised. You are the "alternate" and this isn't the first time you have attempted this."he finished.
The detective had a look of confusion on his face.
"Well I guess we are done here, but I must ask. Why are you trying to get the real Bogarry in trouble?" detective brown asked.
Before Steven could speak up, his lawyer cut the conversation before more can be said.
The lawyer and Steven were in his car, "You will go straight home and do nothing Steven."
"Why? Why should I listen to you?" Steven asked.
"The only thing you should be worried about is listening to the orders He gives you."
After saying this the lawyer said this he turned on his heel and left.

Back in the police station the detectives Brown and Ford were watching Steven talking with his lawyer by his car. Sally Ford was a woman tall, a confident person, one who had been in this line of work long enough to know she had a crazy case on her hands. Different crimes that had sprung across the valley and over the hill and they had no suspects to pin them on. Of course, they could probably just have a person looking for attention.

"Did you happen to get his lawyer's number when you were in there with him?" Sally asked Brown.
He held out the business card with the pricks number. "Yep"
'Good' she thought, they may need to get in contact with him and his real client.
"We should look into that 'Bogarry guy'.We have his address all we need is a warrant from a judge and we are good as gold."
Sally stared at Brown, "You really think he is our guy and not some loon off his rocker?"
"Look, I can do this myself if it's going to be difficult?"
"No, just wanted to see how serious you were about chasing this lead."
"You want to go get a donut and some coffee?" he said with a smile, " and we can call a judge I know."

Steven had been driving around for a while now, it was around 4pm. It was late and early at the same time. Some were driving to go to an early job, others had been partying late. Those of the party people were making their way home. Accidents were frequent around this time with both parties.
Steven came to a red light at an intersection, that during the day would be congested with traffic. The light turned a bright green, pushing the gas pedal he began to go through the intersection. Stars in the blackness. The airbag had activated blocking the car door window which helped with keeping Steven from smacking his head against the glass. The airbag in the steering wheel hit him square in the face. He woke up to the horn screeching and glass everywhere. Steven was gone though, the person sitting in the damaged car was the alternate.

The alternate made eye contact with the other driver. The driver wasn't aware of what had happened. The airbag had hit his face hard enough to break his nose. The alternate pulled himself through the driver's side window, because the door was jammed shut.
He stood there for a second and saw the car hit him hard enough to bend Steven's car. Then with pain and purpose he walked over to the car.
"Hey are you alive?" he yelled.
The drunk man's head was bouncing side to side, front to back. He was having a hard time keeping his head still.
"Oh my god, he's dead." the alternate said in a flat voice for dramatic effect.
"I ain't dead, you hit me." the drunk managed to slur.

Before the drunk man could say another word the alternate was on him. He wrapped the seat belt around the drunk's neck. The man fought it but was unable to fight him. The man tried to fight the impending death, but to no avail. The alternate's body was halfway in the car when a vehicle pulled alongside the wreckage. The person couldn't see what exactly was going on.

"Hey are you guys ok!" the man yelled from the passenger side window.
The alternate kept choking the man, until he was dead. He saw the man getting out of his car to come help, unfortunately for the man the alternate was just getting started.
"No. It's not okay" he said once he pulled himself out of the car window, " this man was intoxicated and ran a red light. Thankfully he and I weren't going too fast."
The person came closer, "What do you mean was 'intoxicated'? Is he dead?
The alternate didn't have to act hurt to mask his annoyance, the face he was making could have been confused for both.
"I will call for emergency services" the man said as he pulled out his phone.
"No need, I already called them." the  alternate said.
The man walked over to see the body in the car, at that moment the alternate  got behind the man. Grabbing his head right below his jaw with his thumbs behind the man's ears, the alternate did a quick snapping motion.
CRACK!

It happened so quickly the guy didn't have time to react.
The alternate picked up his body and put it in the trunk of the new car added to the scene. He went back to his car and grabbed keys to a room, which he put into his pocket, plus a five gallon canteen of gasoline he was going to use to fill up his tank for the long drive. Instead pouring it over most of the scene. Walking over to the new car he threw the empty canteen into the trunk with the body. Reaching in his pocket he pulled out a book of matches. Lighting one he tossed it at the two wrecked cars.
He buckled up, put the car in gear and drove off as the two cars caught fire.
Later the police would identify the one car as belonging to Steven.
