(Y/n)'s POV

"Welcome to team"

Those words played over and over in my head. I made the big volleyball team, without really doing anything special. I didn't even get to play to my full potential and it kind of annoyed my too.

They must be a pretty weak team to think what I did today was anything special

I thought as I walked up stairs to my bedroom. If my father were to see how I played today he'd probably make me do at least 50 laps of the gym. Oh well.

Why am I complaining...I got in...

I thought as I sat on my bed and started to get undressed out of my uniform. I replaced my dirty school clothes with my clean workout clothes ready to go for a quick run.

Maybe if I go for a run it'll take kind off things

As I finished my run I decided to go little convenient store that coach Ukai worked at. As I walked in I saw someone that wasn't coach Ukai standing at the cash register.

Hmm not working today...?

The cashier gave me a warm smile as I walked passed them, I just gave them a light nod stoic look still on my face. As I went to pay for my water I saw a group of guys wall into the store smelling of sweat and strong male deodorant. I gave them a slight glance giving the cashier my money. As I turned to walk out of the store I bumped into one of the males that were in the group. He's a little shorter then the rest of the guys so I didn't really notice him. I looked down at the male, he held his head down. Then I noticed that he had a school uniform on.

Not from karasuno though...

I thought as my eyes studied the slightly smaller male. When he looked up I was faced within a pair of golden cat like eyes staring into mine. It was almost alluring but I quickly snapped out of my quick gaze.

"Sorry, I should've been more careful about my surroundings" I said slightly bowing at the quiet male. He seemed a little timid. So it wasn't a surprise that he didn't respond straight. As I stood there waiting for his response a taller male with black rooster like hair and a grin on his face walked up behind the shorter guy and swung his arm around his friends shoulder.

"Kenma you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend" he exclaimed with a smug grin still on his face. Kenma or at least Im assuming that his name was quickly changed he colour of his face to a bright pink before jump when his friend pinched his right cheek.

"You didn't tell me she was this cute either" he said still holding in to his friends cheek.

"Ouch kuroo quit it that hurts" he said quietly before gently brushing his friend away from his cheek.

"I'm not his girlfriend" I simply said staring blankly at the taller male. He stared at me a little confused for a second until he went back to his smirk. Kuroo ruffled Kenmas hair a little before extending a hand to me.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding, to think I actually thought this bat would actually leave his cave to get a girlfriend." He said with a slight chuckle, I stared at his hand before extending my own and shaking the makes hand. His grip was nice and firm as I shook it.

"That's fine it was my fault for not looking where I was going I'm first place" I said still shaking the roosters hand. He looked down at my hand for a second then looked back up at me.

"Nah there's no harm done is there kenma" kuroo said slinging his arm back around kenma.

"No it's fine..." he simply said.

"So what's you name girly?" The dark haired boy asked with a playful smirk on his face.

"(Y/n) (L/n)" I said with a blank stare.

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you (y/n) (L/n) but we should get going our teams leaving hopefully we meet again" he said giving me a wink before dragging his smaller friend.

"Nice to meet you" kenma said before getting dragged off by his taller friend.

All I could do was stare as the duos figures slowing getting smaller and smaller. After I payed for my stuff I thanked the cashier and walked home. As I was sitting on my couch I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled it out of my pocket to see who texted me.

"Dad..." I whispered.

Is he checking up on me?

I thought as I opened the message but as I read it that slight bit of happiness quickly vanished into my usual nothingness.

I want you to be completely focused on your training and willing to always be the best so I've taken it upon myself to get you a roommate, someone who is always at their best. He will be helping you with your volleyball training and your technique while he is living with you. He is a complete powerhouse on the court in fact he's one of the top aces who's plays at one of the top schools in your district so think yourself lucky to be training with him. Make sure you make him feel at home and listen to him. Think of him as your new volleyball coach. He will be arriving tomorrow so make sure everything is order for his sleeping arrangements.

I looked at my phone screen and let out a small sigh at the response I got. He's always been harsh so it's not a surprise but sometimes I get confused with my feelings.
