If We?

If I told you I missed you, what would you say?
If I said I needed you, where would we be?
If we had one more second, would we still have each other?
Now we're just strangers standing on opposite corners of the room.
You with your devil smile and me polishing my diamonds that hang around my neck.
We were yin and yang, but we threw it all away.
I'm just screaming out for a happy ending, but where we're from they don't exist.
I'm just thinking about you and I at three a.m.
Our stupidity was exciting.
We knew we had forever to be right.
We were young and reckless, looking for a new adventure.
We ran away from the world we came from, we said it just wasn't us.
We ended up in the middle of Nowhere, USA.
Was it all worth it?
We killed ourselves looking for what everyone said we wanted.
We tried too hard.
Now your just a distant memory in the back of my head.
