Rose is rattled as Nebula and Koneko sit there waiting for the boys. You and Xenovia are on the other side of the kitchen. Everyone is waiting for the boys to show up. Slifer, Xavier, and Rinji come down the stairs slowly as one of them is flustered.

"If you don't tell her I will." Said Rinji.

"Tell her you like her?" Asked Xavier.

"But you're after my sister. Why would you torment Rose?"

"For not moving fast enough and I'm single at the moment."

"They might hear us." Put in Slifer. The youngest of the group was right in the middle of it.

"Exactly. You're right. So why have this said here?"

"Do it or else." Said Rinji as he smirked.

"Wonderful..."

You look over at your wife. Noticing something is going on. You don't want the kids to know. Hey Nova, should we just watch and see it out?

Step in if need be, but I think it will go okay.

Me and you both thinking the same between Rose and our son?

Rinji and our daughter too. But I told the firebird that he better behave like a gentleman or Aunt Asia has an evil present for him.

Frying Pan?

Yes. Iggy will be at work.

Ahhh. Right. Gotcha. Well anywho.

"We have cookies boys." Smirked Nebula.

"Thanks Neb. Who made them?" Said Rinji.

"Us girls." Said Koneko pointing to her, her daughter, and Nebula.

"Wow. Thank you. Truly." Smiled Xavier. 

"An off day can't hurt too much right?" Said Koneko.

"I guess not. The sword misses me but I can wait. That make sense?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Kind of wish I was in the sense. In the sense..." She was speaking awkwardly. 

"I knew I wasn't alone."

"Yeah..."

"You okay Rose? Your forehead is red."

"Maybe it's just the oven. I'm okay. Really!" Now she was poking her index fingers together. 

"Okay. Well, if there is something do you want to talk about it? A few clashes just us?"

"Sure. Maybe I need that. But let's grab a few of these while they're warm." Rose grabbed a small paper plate of cookies for her and Xavier. "The dojo? We can take our time."

"Thankfully. We're both a little sore right?" He smiled and deep down he was very nervous as well.

"Yeah. Been, tired. And achy. And-" She was having trouble finding the words. She went to the stairs first as Xavier followed. 

You smiled and looked over at Nova. "That's our boy."

"So Nebby, how about a plate of cookies and upstairs I'll grab the milk?" Proposed Rinji to Nebula.

"Sure." Nodded Nebula.

"And I promise your balls cut off if you get any stupid ideas about my daughter." Threatened Xenovia. 

"Promise..." Rinji was sweating. That wasn't good. Being threatened by a sword bigger than him was a recipe for disaster.  

"Aunt Koneko?" Slifer looked over.

"Yes?"

"Mind if I have some while Yui and the others are away? I don't want to be left out." No one likes being the fifth wheel. Who could blame the kid?

"Stay as long as you like. And we shall see how this goes."

Down the stairs Rose is feeling very nervous. The whole situation is rather difficult for her and Xavier. Both of Rose's parents were the shy type. While Xavier got it from you. This could either be a thing that just isn't ready or will work perfectly. Which one would it be?

"Zave?"

"Yeah Rose?"

"How have you been feeling lately? Anything going on? School or anything?" Trying to lighten the conversation.

"Well class is good thankfully. Just trying to build myself up. What else can I do?"

"You're getting more confidence lately."

"Between you, Slifer, and my sister don't I have to? Nothing about being the best, just have to keep up. Have the stride. Keep pace."

"You're not discouraged, right?"

"Not too much. After all if you can swing a sword I can too. We were chosen to do this. Not letting up now. Uncle Kiba put trust in me. So did our parents. Not much more we can ask for."

Rose put the cookies down. "There's one thing."

"Yeah?"

"Us."

"Woah. Rose. What-" Xavier is just piecing this together. He was hoping to confess, this was unexpected. As Xavier talked to Rinji he was working his way to it. But Rose was unexpectedly helping.

"I, didn't want to say it in front of everyone. I'm shy, okay?" She blushed and closed her eyes.

"Okay. Well I wanted to tell you something too. Wanted to be just us so thank you for that."

"Zave, what did you want to say to me?" She still couldn't open her eyes. Frozen up. Nervous and almost scared about it.

"Well," He took a breath. Sheesh. I hope I can do this. "There, isn't a boy, right?"

"Hmm?"

"You know... someone out there-"

"What are you referring to?"

"I LIKE YOU!" CRAP! He closed his eyes tightly.

"And I like you!" No!

He opened his eyes up. "Wait, what?"

"I like you Zav. They put a little pressure on me to tell you."

He sighed in relief. "Rinji did the same. And I'm pretty sure he and my sister are a thing too. Makes you think."

"Zave can we, stay here for a bit and just talk? Sounds like we need to iron things out." Rose smiled brightly. The stress that was eating her is going away. The fear and anxiety is gone.

"Yeah. Let's talk. And let's just not worry about them. Deal?"

"Deal."
