Just Friends

"Hey beautiful.."
I roll my eyes,
"Hey" I say bluntly,
"Awe, why the sad face?"
He wraps his arms around my neck,
"You!"
"What did I do?" He asks,
He smirks evily,
"Like you don't know, you cheated on my test."
"I did no such thing"
"Yeah you did, you even said loud, 'does that say George Bush or fuck a bush?' "
Duncan throws his hands in the air,
"You're handwriting is parshly cursive! How can I know!?"
"You caused our papers to get taken away and then a straight up 'F-' not even an 'F' "
I slam my locker shut and grab my bag, Duncan following behind,
"Hey guys, there's a new girl"
I shrug,
"Okay.. who is she?"
"Her name is Gwen. She's in our Biology class."
Duncan rolls his eyes,
"Blah, blah, blah.. nerd, nerd, can we get the day over with?"
I roll my eyes and grab his hand,
"Let's go,"
"God, I love it when you're dominant, like when you cuffed me to the bed-"
"Shut up."
I sit down next to Duncan, he lays his head against mine and takes out his phone.
"Uh.. can I sit here?"
I look up at a pale skinned girl, blue lipstick and teal streaks in her charcoal hair, eyeliner over her midnight black eyes,
"Uh.."
I look at Duncan,
"Sure" he says.
She sits down,
"I'm Gwen"
"Courtney.. this is my boyfriend, Duncan"
He waves,
"Do you ever go out in the sun?"
She rolls her eyes. I then see a small tint of pink. Was she blushing? At my boyfriend?
"How long have you guys been dating?" She asks,
"Three years." I answer,
"Best years of my life"
Duncan kisses my neck. I look and see her eyes with jealous.

The rest of the class, I just hear Duncan and Gwen talk about their favorite movie, "Aliens" I pretend not to listen. I try to loosen from his grip but he tightens it,
"Guys, you have five minutes, and Duncan, I know damn well you didn't do the work"
"And you damn right"
She rolls her eyes before starts grading work.
"You're a cool dude pasty" Duncan says,
"You're not that bad, I'm going to see the new "Alien" movie tonight, wanna come?"
"But Courtney and I-"
"No, it's fine.. you can go"
Duncan smiles,
"This is why I love you."

I open my apartment, with Bridgette behind me,
"Court, I think you're overreacting, she was possibly just embarrassed"
"But-"
"Court, are you just upset with Duncan having a female friend?"
I put down my bag,
"No. It's fine for him to have female friends, it's just.. they're so much alike, way more than Duncan and I"
"Courtney. I think it's best to tell Duncan about this"
She hugs me before leaving,
"I'll be back tonight.. figure this out, okay?"
She walks out the door. I grab my phone and call Duncan,

"Hey baby, are you okay?"

"Um... can you come over?"

"Sure.. I'll be there in ten minutes,"

"Okay.. bye"

"See ya princess"

"Ugh!!"
I look at my bag and drag it to my room.
My bed is covered with books and
start my homework.

While doing my world history homework, I hear a knock on my balcony door. I see the neon green mohawk standing out of the night sky, I unlock and open the door,
"You're.. huh.. not suprised, three hours late" I say bluntly,
"Sorry, Gwen and I were hanging out"
I let out a small sigh until going back to my room,
"Hey hey, what's wrong?" He asks,
"Nothing"
Duncan wraps his legs and arms around me,
"My princess, whatever is wrong?"
"Don't say that. I'm cringing"
"Babe, are you upset about Gwen and I?" He asks,
"Would you be mad if I was?" I ask,
"No, I'm not. Princess, Gwen and I are just friends,"
Duncan kisses my shoulder,
"I'm going to a party tonight. Gwen invited me"
"But it's Thursday-"
"I won't drink this time."
"You know you don't have to ask"
He pecks my lips before burying his face my the crook of my neck,
"Don't get arrested"
He smiles,
"Bye, I'll come back after."
I watch as he walks away,
"Love you" he says,
"I love you too."
