The spider turned it's gaze towards Grim." You're not the way I made you," it said, lifting Grim up. Grim tried to push it away but found that he was too weak." No, wait! Put me down!"
"Relax, Grim. You have just been broken. So I want to repair you, too."
Then she turned back to Lolli." I will start on another soul for your other friend."

Grim was put back on the ground. He sat down and started to whimper." What's wrong, Mister Grim?"
"Stay away from me!" Grim pushed Lolli back when she got close to him," you still haven't told me what's going on!"
"I am known as the seamstress. My daughter here wants me to fix her new friends," the spider explained," I want to fix what I assume the council did to you. Your soul has noticeable cracks."
"The council didn't do that. I did."
"Please explain yourself, Son."
"You're not my damn parent!" Grim shuddered," I have a headache."
"Yes, but please explain why your ability to be happy has been greatly reduced."
"What?"
"Your capacity to be angry has been  increased to a disturbing level. I'm not sure who would've done that to you."
Grim decided that he no longer cared to listen to the spider. His eyes glazed over as he stared out into the distance. He was in some sort of void." If you are going to stop paying attention, I'll just work on fixing you."

Grim squeaked when his soul was taken. He didn't like the numb feeling he got. At the same time, the Seamstress-the large spider- began weave strands into the soul. Another soul was being built from scratch. After only a few seconds of work, the Seamstress returned Grim's soul. Grim's expression softened and he felt his chest." Do you feel calmer?"
Grim nodded.
"My horrible sister is so mean to my creations. She never allows them to live a truly peaceful afterlife. Their mortality is worse."
"What did you do?"
"I made you the way I originally formed you. A little more irrational. But you were never meant to be so violent. And Lolli, please start reshaping the other one."

Lolli nodded and began to work. To her, Iowa needed to have her half lidded eyes. But she couldn't be so short. Iowa was a big girl, after all. With those thoughts in mind, she shaped the puddle. Iowa's body needed more work than Maxwell. With Maxwell, only a small change in personality was needed. Iowa's physical form needed to change." You may go now, son. I will take Lolli home."

Grim looked for his son. He was still in a terrible daze. Perhaps being so calm was the cause. But everything also felt clear to him. It was as if things looked less red. He was also able to reflect on his actions better. He realized that he hurt Marcus and he did it often. Yes, he'd have to apologize for that.

He found the boy waiting in the underworld's office. Or, more specifically, Death's room. As the eldest skeleton worked, Marcus was babbling aimlessly about stories he had heard before. Marcus looked up and smiled at Grim once he entered." You escaped. How nice," Marcus said with a sweet tone.

Instead of answering, Grim found himself truly looking at Marcus for the first time. Marcus seemed to notice the sudden shift. Marcus's eyes glowed and looked into Grim's chest." You're different," Marcus said," how did you-?"
Grim didn't let Marcus finish. Marcus found himself inside of Grim's large arms. Grim was hugging him. Marcus was too surprised to push him away at first. But once he got out of his initial shock, Marcus shoved Grim into the wall.
"No, you can't- you don't get to suddenly change! Am I meant to forgive you after you neglected me for decades?" Marcus shouted at him. Grim slowly got up and approached Marcus.
"You don't understand, I'm sorry-"
"You can't just say you're sorry! I won't forgive you! I can't! You- you killed Mother!"
"I know, but I wasn't myself."
"You killed her and I watched! You can't come here and make me forgive you!"
Grim watched Marcus glare at him through his tears. Grim frowned and stepped back.
"I'm- I'm an idiot."
"What?"
"I'll go. But- But know that I love you. I really do. I love you so fucking much and I'm sorry I was never able to show it."
"Father?"
"I won't bother you again. Goodbye."
Then Grim teleported away. Marcus stared at the spot for a long while, just crying as he did so.
"Marcus."
He turned to look back at the man he was talking to before. It was his grandfather and the first reaper, Death.
"Please, let us continue talking. I have something to tell you."
