Keefe's POV:
I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes, still half asleep.
Sophie clung to me, her head resting on my chest. I turned to look at her as the memory of what happened last night came back to me.
I heard whispering and lifted my head to see everyone else already awake and changed.
Sophie lifted her head from my chest and sat up, rubbing her eyes. "What time is it?" she yawned.
"5:36," Dex replied, checking his watch. Tam's stomach growled.
"Why don't we go make breakfast?" Biana suggested, glancing at Tam.
"You guys go ahead, I'm gonna freshen up," I said and laid back down.
Biana sighed. "Fine, what about you, Sophie?"
Sophie had already fallen back asleep.
"Let the lovebirds rest, I'm sure they had a long night," Marella said, dragging the others away. She threw me a wink over her shoulder.
I sighed and nudged Sophie. "C'mon, I know you're not asleep, Foster."
"How'd you know?" she mumbled, rolling over to face me.
"I just know you," I said, smirking.
"Ugh. Fine, let's get up and help make breakfast," she mumbled.
"Or we could just... stay here," I suggested. She cheered.
"Good. It's way too early for me to trip and somehow manage to burn my face," she said. "You know me so well."
I grinned. She nudged me. "I'll change and meet you back here."
She got up and walked away.
Biana's POV:
After over-cooking the threadleens 3 times, I decided to go ask Sophie to make Calla's starkflower stew.
I caught her in the hallway leaving my room in a simple tunic. "Whoa, you can't wear that!"
Sophie groaned. "Biana-" she started, but I cut her off.
"Makeover time," I squealed.
She stared at me, then bolted. I chased her down the hall. She dashed into a room and shut the door in my face. I tried to open the door but it was locked.
"I'll be back," I announced and went to get Dex.
Sophie's POV:
I locked the door, panting. "Whoa, what's got the Mysterious Miss F in such a rush?" a familiar voice said behind me.
"Biana's trying to give me a makeover again," I sighed, turning around to meet Keefe's gaze. "Help me," I pleaded.
He bowed. "At your service, m'lady."
I couldn't help but giggle.
Biana burst through the door with Dex at her side.
I panicked and pushed Keefe in front of me. "Gee, thanks," he said drily.
I shrugged. "Every elf for themselves when it comes to Biana and makeovers."
Biana squealed. "This is gonna be fun!"
I let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine, just don't tie me to a chair," I warned.
Biana tilted her head to the side and got to work.
A couple of minutes later, Biana had finished. "Voilá," Biana said with a flourish.
She handed me a mirror and I gaped at my reflection. Wow, Biana could actually restrain herself!
My hair was in an elaborate braid, but she hadn't put too much makeup on, just a few touches of blush... Just like how Marella had done it the night before.
To wear, she had given me a sporty sleeve-less tunic paired with leggings that both clung a little too tightly to my skin.
"Didn't want to scare him away, so I held back," Biana whispered in my ear. I looked to the side to see Keefe gawking at me.
I flicked his nose. "If it looks that bad, just tell me," I sighed.
He blinked. "N-No, Foster, you look...really good."
A/N: Sorry for not updating yesterday, guys. Also, d'you want me to make a sequel where they go to the gala they mentioned in Chapter 11?
