Hey! There was a little mistake (that I soon fixed). I want to clarify that they are at the beginning of Junior year, not Sophomore year! Whops!

Enjoy,

Delilah

I walk up to Olive's white door and knock three times.

"Cupcake?" A shirtless Gavin appears before my eyes.

I stand horrified and whisper to myself, "Do I have the wrong address?"

"Delilah, Delilah!" I see Olive run beside him.

My cheeks redden and I remain speechless.

"Miss me already?" Gavin crosses his arms.

"She's here for me, doofus."

Before I have the chance to speak up, I'm taken away upstairs into Olive's lime vibrant room.

"We're going to vibe so hard tonight! I was starting to think you were going to stand me up." She crosses her arms and sits me on her bed.

I close my eyes, "I...he was...where did he?"

I stumble my way to BaffledVille while moving my hands exaggeratedly.

"Gavin, my half-brother. We live here with my mom." Olive explains.

I chuckle nervously, "You didn't care to explain that like... three hours ago? Or at least warned me-"

"Why would I? I thought you'd be happy that the top rated guy at our high school was here. Wouldn't you want to make a move on him or something?"

I laugh sarcastically, "On that jerk?"

The door suddenly opens and Gavin strides in, "If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the hell up."

Olive rolls her dark brown eyes, "Speak of my brother, and he shall appear."

"Hey, half brother. I would never want my dad and your mom to..."

They both shrivel in disgust.

"Whatcha girls talkin' about?" He lays on Olive's bed with his fists on his chin.

"I was just telling Delilah here to make a move-"

I cover her mouth, "On Theodore White."

Theodore White... *enter montage here*

The chillest senior in our school...

Floppy, curly brown hair that covers a bit of his crystal blue eyes...

A smile that end with dimples on both sides...

A laugh that-

"Woah, woah, woah," Gavin snaps me out of my trance, "Cupcake and Theo? Never gonna happen."

Olive crosses her arms, "And why not?"

I raise an eyebrow, "Yeah, why not?"

He chuckles, "He's a senior, first of all. Secondly, have you seen Cupcake? She's rude, ignorant, has way too much of an attitude-"

"I wasn't the one who got us into Cafeteria Duty!-"

"Uh, yes you were!"

"I would've been fine going to...d-detention."

I picture all the rabid-eyed students in the detention room.

"Aw, is little Cupcake scared of the detention delinquents?" Gavin pinches my cheeks.

I slap his arm and in one quick movement get him below me, "Bite me."

His black fluffy hair falls just above his dark ocean eyes.

Gavin stares into my eyes as I stare at his lips, my breathing unnatural.

Olive pats her thighs, "This is going to be a hell of a fun year."

-

"What did your mom say when you told her you were coming?" Olive pulls the covers over me as we settle in to sleep.

"She was fine with it." I blandly state.

"You should call her. It's one in the morning, at least to say goodnight."

I nod shyly and walk into her sunroom downstairs.

The phone rings, so painfully captivating.

I crouch down and hold my knees, my head against the wall.

Silence falls...

"You have reached the voicemail box of..."

Letting excruciating tears fall, I throw my phone to the other side of the room without thinking.

I bury my head in my hands, "I hate her! I freaking hate her!"

It seems like forever and I'm still painfully on the ground, crying in my PJs.

"Cupcake?"

I hear a husky voice and two feet stand over me.

Quickly going to stand up, Gavin put his hands on my shoulders.

"No need to run, just sit back down." The determined look in his dark blue eyes persuade me.

I nod and he sits next to me.

A tear glides silently down my cheek, demolishing my tough exterior.

My hand slowly drops to the cold, wooden floor.

I feel a rough, big hand cover mine and interlock our fingers.

The moonlight reveals a blushing Gavin looking straight ahead.

I smile slightly, and stare ahead, too.

And so we sit there, staring at the shadowy trees through the glass wall. Glancing from time to time at my now cracked phone.

Before I suddenly drift to sleep.
