It had been 5 years sine the fall of the Republic, since the fall of the Jedi Order, and since the fall of Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. Since that time, Vader, along with his master, Darth Sidious had been enslaving the galaxy. Using fear to gain the subordination of the masses.

In that time, Vader had secretly been training young Tano as his Sith apprentice. The Emperor must not find out because of the Sith rule of two which maintained that only two Sith Lords exist at one time. If the Emperor found that Vader had an apprentice, and was training her to over throw him, he would kill not only Ahsoka, but likely Vader as well.

Ahsoka had adopted the codename "Shadow", for no one ever lived long enough to relay what she looked like. She killed her target and any witnesses without remorse. That's why she was so good. No one knew what she looked like, so it was easy for her to infiltrate and kill. She just looked like a sweet little togruta, and used that to her advantage to gain access to places she otherwise would not be allowed to.

During these last five years, Vader had sent her on many assignments. If a troublesome senator came along, threatening to damage the Empire, Ahsoka was dispatched to take care of the threat, and people just brushed it off as an assassination, never once thinking to tie it back to Vader and the Empire. If a Rebel insurgence was found, she was sent to infiltrate, gain trust, and use that trust to destroy them from the inside out. Lastly, and her favorite, if any Jedi were found, Vader would often send her to deal with them. She got immense pleasure out of ending the life of someone affiliated with the wretched organization that had cast her out.

On this particular day, Ahsoka was training at Vader's castle on Mustafar, attempting to improve her lightsaber combat. She was using only one blade, as sometimes it was more beneficial to use only one in battle as opposed to her usual two. It allowed her to use her agility and deception better.

She was so immersed in her training, that she didn't feel Vader enter the room. He stood quietly, watching her, noting that she had drastically improved her lightsaber combat in the last five years. She was now using her anger and hatred to fuel her moves, and they were more powerful and accurate than ever.

When she finished, he started to walk up to her. "Very good my apprentice. You have made significant improvements now that you are allowing your anger and hatred to flow through you."

"Thank you master," she said giving him a bow.

"Come, there is something we must discuss," he said motioning for her to follow him out of the training area. She obliged and followed quickly behind him. Upon reaching their chambers, he sat down on his bed, and she sat on hers. He turned on a holocaster, and a picture of an older man with scars all over his face, and white hair and a beard, appeared.

"This is Rahm Kota. He was a general during the Clone War, but refused to use clones, and instead enlisted his own militia, which is what saved him from Order 66. He's been in hiding the last several years, but has recently emerged on the planet Nar Shaddaa. I believe that he is planning an attack on the TIE Fighter construction complex we have there. I want you to go in, and end him," Vader explained to his apprentice.

She nodded. She had heard of Kota before, and always found it odd that he didn't use clones, but it ended up saving his life. However, he wouldn't be that lucky this time. He wouldn't escape with his life. "It will be done my master."

"Very good. You will leave as soon as your ship is fueled and ready." She nodded and got up to leave, but Vader stopped her. "And remember: NO witnesses. Kill all militia, stormtroopers, everyone. Then blow the complex when you're finished. We cannot risk the Emperor knowing about you. I will just report to him that the rebels infiltrated and blew up the complex, but no one escaped."

She nodded again. This was how all her missions went. No survivors to expose her, and always a cover up for the deaths that ensued.

She entered the refresher to change into her clothing that she wore on missions like this. It consisted of long black pants, black boots, and black tank top. She also wore black gauntlets on her forearms with fingerless gloves, much like she had worn all through the Clone War. The gauntlets include her communicator, which could only contact Vader, and a homing beacon incase he had to come find her. Finally, she completed the look with a long black cape that flowed down to her ankles, and a black combat belt that she could hook her sabers onto.

She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were still blue, although duller. She had always wondered why they hadn't changed to yellow, but Vader told her it was because she wasn't a full Sith Lord yet. The only difference from five years ago was that she was slightly taller and her lekku were a but longer with her facial markings having elongated to accommodate her more mature self.

After getting dressed, she left their quarters and made her way to her ship. It was a an old Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor, much like the one she flew during the Clone War, except instead of the maroon and white coloring, this one was white and gray. She had also installed a hyperdrive on it to make travel easier and more efficient. She wouldn't have to mess with hyperdrive rings which would easily be destroyed or detected, giving away her position.

She checked to make sure it was fully fueled, and then hoped into the cockpit. She heard her astromech R3-T2 beep when she entered.

"Yup R3, we've got another mission. Set coordinates for Nar Shaddaa, we've got a Jedi to kill."

R3 beeped happily and soon they were off and in hyperspace.
