Jacqueline strutted down the steps, and heard two male voices. She silently tiptoed closer, and identified Gibbs's voice.

"Aye. They've got plenty of history." She raised a brow.

"All she's said is how they're not related." Will's voice perked up. Are they talking about Jack and I? She leaned in closer.

"People always assume that they are. Jacqueline hates it with a passion." She pursed her lips.

"So what are they? They seem so close. So alike." Jacqueline sighed silently. All of her life was about to be exposed to William, as Gibbs was quite the detailed storyteller.

"Well, back when Jack captained the Pearl, Jacqueline sailed alongside him, captain to the Crimson Vengeance. Don't remember when, but they developed a romantic relationship along the way." There was a slight pause.

"So they had two different ships? Why?"

"Jack loved the Pearl and being captain. Same with Jacqueline and her ship. So they both had their ships, but boy were those two in love. I never heard of two people more invested in each other." She cracked a smile at his words. Memories pranced through her mind of her older days with Sparrow, and Will asked,

"So what happened?" Nosy, are we? For some reason she allowed Gibbs to go on, as she was curious to hear what he had to say.

"Well, a lot of things happened. But the biggest downfall was when Jack cheated on her." Her smile disappeared.

"That doesn't surprise me. Go on."

"The rumor is they were in Tortuga. Jack's first mate was on the Pearl, the two captains in the city. After an hour or so, Jacqueline stormed onto the ship, screaming at the first mate to follow her. She got into a longboat and forced him with her. She towed to her ship and told him that this might be goodbye. She didn't give him any kind of explanation, so he rowed back to the Pearl."

"Little later on, Jack ran to the ship, not saying anything as he dropped the same longboat into the water. The first mate tried to ask him but he just left. Maybe ten minutes later, I'm not sure, Jack came back and stowed away in his cabin the rest of the night. I only learned the story later on." She frowned, as she had never heard what happened after Jack left her ship that night.

      "But she didn't leave him?"

"She sailed with him. But it took a few days for Jack to convince Jacqueline to take him back. Things were never the same after that. There was tension an' plenty of arguments. Eventually, Jacqueline got tired of it and sailed away. At least, those are the rumors." She prepared to step in, until Will asked,

"So what was it like with Jack after she left?" She froze in place.

"Now this part I know to be true. It was terrible. He locked himself in the brig for a few days. He felt so guilty about it. After that it was never the same. Jack kept to himself, and the crew was gloomy as well. They all loved Jacqueline and her crew. Jack still captained the ship, slowly recovering. Not long after, Barbossa held a mutiny. Don't tell anyone I told you this, but I think Jacqueline leaving gave Barbossa the perfect opportunity to do so, as Jack was weaker because of it." Jacqueline staggered slightly. Gibbs blamed her for Barbossa? Did Jack?

"It's true, love." She jumped as a voice broke out behind her.

"What was that?" She ignored Will as she spun around to come face to face with Jack. He lightly grabbed her arm and tugged her away.
