I feel thankful that I already got my car from the repair shop after a few days. I didn't get to go to some sites because it's too far and that time my car is still getting fixed.
I am the head of the architecture department here in this real estate company. My job is to design some infrastructures and oversee its construction process that's why I need to go in lots of sites.
As I went inside the elevator, I waited first if there will be someone to enter. The elevator was about to close when suddenly a hand stopped it.
It's one of my colleagues, Park Mirah, she's the head of the engineering department.
"Oh L.A, you're here I thought I will be the only one who is late."
"Late? Isn't it like 30 mins before work starts?"
"Well didn't you receive the text that we must be here early, the new CEO will be coming here and start working today!"
"On what time is the new CEO coming here exactly?"
"8:00am!"
I looked over my watch and saw that we still have 5 minutes before 8:00. Exactly after that, the elevator stopped and we both hurriedly went to the conference room.
As we both enter the room I sighed in relief seeing that the new CEO is not yet here. We both took a seat next to each other when suddenly the secretary of the old CEO spoke to us.
"As all of you know, the son of the chairman will be here soon and took over his father's position. Later on when he comes here, I hope that all of you will welcome him warmly. All of you still have 20 minutes before he comes here so you can fix yourselves or go to the bathroom. But be sure to comeback here at exactly 8:25. All of you are now dismissed."
All of the person in the conference room hurriedly went out but mostly it's the girls because there is this rumor going around that the new CEO is really handsome and of course those girls will try to look beautiful in front of him.
Mirah asked if I'm gonna go with them to the powder room to fix their faces but I declined and told her that I will go to the bathroom.
I don't understand why do they need to do that though.
Covering their faces with beauty products just to attract a man that can possibly hurt them and cause them so much pain.
Are they not afraid to get hurt?
