The waves below the cliff top crashed against each other and the rocks violently, leaving nothing but air bubbles and foam in its wake. The current didn't exactly look gentle or calm from the windy weather that was approaching and the storm that was rolling in soon. If anything, it made Lilith gulp and her heart race with nerves.
"Do we really need to do this?" Lilith asked as she stood at the edge of the cliff, looking down nervously at it. Stupid Bella and her stupid ideas.
"It'll be therapeutic." Bella responded as she took her jacket off, "Jake and I saw the pack do it a few months ago, I think it'll be fun." Bella and Jake had thankfully rekindled after the Paul incident and everything was slowly going back to normal. Afterwards, Bella and Lilith even had a discussion and lilith explained how she wanted to tell her about the pack for the longest time, but, she couldn't. Obviously, Bella forgave her because she knew it wasn't her secret to tell.
Bella was still trying to wrap her mind around the fact that Jacob was a werewolf and that she was his imprint; her life had gotten so complicated yet so wonderful ever since she moved to Forks. Saying the words 'the pack' sounded so foreign and strange to her knowing that a year ago she had no idea any of these things existed.
"Bella, I'm not an adrenaline junkie like you." She reminded her as she peaked over the edge seeing the waves crashing against the rocks angrily, "And the current looks really strong."
"If you want we can do something else." The brunette suggested, "We can face our fears another way."
Bella was grateful that Lilith was slowly coming out of her depressive phase and was starting to lose the shell that hid her normal self, and she felt if she did something crazy and courageous that didn't include trying to sacrifice herself for her friends, maybe she would be back to normal and see that everything around her was still normal and good. Lilith shook her head, she wasn't scared of heights but she was scared of possibly drowning from being too weak to swim or accidentally knocking her head against the rocks underwater because the current was too strong for her to handle. "No, I want to do it... but, can't we jump from lower down?"
Bella's eyebrows raised, "You want to take the easy way out?" She asked, lazily shrugging, "Okay."
The witch puffed as she took her jacket and shoes off, glaring at her friend slightly, "You and Jake deserve each other. This is peer pressure, you know?" She grumbled, "We talked about this in school; about how you never give in to it."
