All I Ever Wanted for Us

I left to save you..

Everything was going great after James recovered.
They caught up and James explained to Teresa that he left to protect her
They sat on the patio as James reached in his pocket for a cigarette
"I didn't know, Pote tried to contact you and tell you we moved "--"I-I thought you left because.." he interrupts her knowing exactly what she is going to say " No teressa"
he stands closer to her.. thinking about his time with the CIA how they kept him caged up , isolated ,they beat him and worst of all he was away from her .. those thoughts watered his eyes "I left to save you.."
Teresa has never seen him like this , his voice was rough, he sounds hurt, she see's pain in his eyes, it broke her heart so her eyes water too. This moment was sad yet intimate, only two inches apart yet she feels like she is a part of him. James doesn't waste time and he kisses her then hugs her with an embrace that she wants to last forever.

James and Teresa worked hand in hand for the next several months as partners and most of all lovers.. He deserves more and Teresa knows it ,so she gives him an opportunity that he wouldn't miss...one that might hurt her too but it was for the best. Eventually James left for Malaga to help expand Teresa's business. He always wanted to run something of his own, be his own boss and she wanted him to be happy, "I'll come back for you, I promise" then he left
