"Hoy Temi, ano na? we're going to be late!" said my ever demanding AteTerry.
Today is my moving up ceremony. We are still in our house preparing. It's her fault anyway, I already told her that I don't want curls on my hair but she insisted.
She carried Madie, my ridiculously cute niece and went straight to the car. I turned off all the lights baka kasi pagbalik namin sunog na lahat ng nandito sa hawla. We arrived at the church earlier than expected because it is the location for this event since catholic school.
It's still surprising for me that I will be joining this program, Hindi kase ako nahuhuli ng guidance kapag may viniolate kaming rules kasama ang kaibigan ko.
Sabi ng iba na ang mga Catholic Students raw ay mababait. Pweh! Hindi lang kasi kami nahuhuli sa mga kagagawan namin.
Ate cannot find a parking space and she began acting like a mad wolf on her period. Do wolves get their period? Idk maybe?
"Chillax to the max ate, ako yung may moving up not you." she glared at me and pointed Madie at the back.
"Baba na kayo ni Madie hanap lang ako ng space," she looked at her watch. "We still have 5 minutes, so wait for me at the entrance. They will not start on time anyway, Filipino Time." she said as if she didn't act like the world will end earlier.
I carried Madie and went to the entrance. Madie is her two-year-old daughter, her father, Tito Ton, died last year because of his chosen field of work. Terry and her husband are both lawyers and we received death threats almost every week but that didn't stop him for serving the justice to people.
And like my Ate, they both have a strong sense of justice and fighting for the rights of the farmer here. It is one of the many reasons why I admire my ate and her family. I love them so much. After all kami na lang yung natitira in our family
After that incident, she hired some bodyguards to protect us, but it wasn't comfortable having them around so I instructed them to remain invisible and only show when we are in danger.
Money was never a problem to us and our future is secured, "The Krays", our American Restaurant have been expanding since then, The first decades of the Restaurant was manage by our parents but unfortunately they died when I was still 13.
Madie began to pull me to the stall with a lot of balloons.
"Temi I want sofia," she pouted and began pointing the purple balloon. She jumped as if she could reach it.
"Please, pretty tita" pouting as she put her palms together and began acting cute like a puppy. Gosh, this girl really knows how to get me with her charms. I rolled my eyes pretty tita huh?
"We will buy that later baby. Baka pagalitan ka ng mama mo dahil hindi yan pwede sa loob ng church," I told her and carried her to the entrance. I was thankful she did not cry like a whale because she is not a rotten spoiled brat like other kids.
Terry is still finding some parking space, I suppose. Baka iniwan na kami pero saan naman pupunta yon. If only inutusan na lang niya ang bodyguards she won't have to do it.
