Harry's POV
After Hermione told me about Ginny, I immediately felt a weight on my shoulders because it was all my fault that she was sad and she felt alone. I quickly explained to Hermione that I was planning on proposing, but the most important thing is Ginny's happiness. After telling Hermione where I would be, I rushed upstairs and tied a hand-written noted that said, Happy Birthday, my love. ♥️ to the roses I got for Ginny. I put a spell on them so if my love for her ever dies, then the roses will die also. I used magic to put them right on the inside of her door, and then I stood there and waited.
Ginny's POV
I was quietly crying on the floor, leaned up against the wall when I saw something in front of my door. I quickly wiped my tears and picked the bouquet of flowers up. I read the note, Happy Birthday, my love♥️. It was from Harry! He didn't forget. Then I heard a knock on the door and I opened it.
There he was, with his black messy hair, and emerald green eyes that I loved to much. When he saw me, he gave me a weak smile and I just fell into his arms. He caught me, thankfully. I just sobbed into his chest.
Harry's POV
Ginny was sobbing in my chest, and at first she didn't say anything, and a million things were racing through my head.
Did she get hurt?
Did she not want me here?
Did she miss Fred?
Was I going to be able to help her?
How was I going to be able to propose?
What if she said no?
What would I do to comfort her?
Finally Ginny spoke, but she was still shaking furiously, so I pulled her tighter into my chest, but she pulled away slightly to look at me as she spoke.
"Harry, I didn't know what was happening! I woke up and you were missing! And then I thought you were downstairs, but nobody told me where you went! I thought death eaters had captured you!" She continued to sob heavily.
"And then with F-Fred go-ne, I didn't know what to do! I couldn't lose you too!"
I felt so guilty. I shouldn't have left like that without telling her. I knew she would panic not knowing where I am! I'm so stupid!
"Ginny, look at me." I said. She looked into my eyes, even though I doubt she could she through her tears. "I'm so sorry I should have never left you like that. I just wanted to get you something special. I will always be here for you, I will never get trapped by death eaters."
I gave her a loving hug. "Fred wouldn't want you to be sad, he would want you to live in happiness. I love you so much, Gin, and that will never change."Ginny stopped sobbing for the most part, and I decided to tell her about the roses.
"Gin? Do you know what's special about these roses?"
"No..." She replied hesitantly.
"They will never die, they will only die when my love for you dies, and since it never will, they will live forever." I said as I smiled gently at her.
"Thank you so much, Harry."
"For what?"
"For being there for me."
"I will always be here for you Gin."
————————————————————
Harry decided to propose in a little area about a half mile from the burrow. It was surrounded by trees, and the only way you could get in was through a layer of vines guarding the place. Harry had Ginny's brothers Bill and Charlie set it up, since they knew about the proposal, and Harry didn't think he could leave Ginny's side after that morning.
Bill and Charlie started at about 10:00 am. They set up a romantic table in the middle of the area, with a tablecloth and candles on it. Bill hung lanterns along the trees, and then they put a bunch of candles making a pathway to the table. The menu was going to be pasta with garlic bread, and butterbeers. Molly was going to start the food as soon as they started walking out of the burrow.
At about 4:00pm, Harry told Ginny to go get ready for a date at 5:30. Then Ginny headed upstairs with Hermione and put on light makeup and a flowy white sundress with some short white flats to match. (Ginny always hated wearing heels)
Meanwhile, Harry put on a fresh buttoned shirt and pants so it wasn't wrinkled for the date. Then he tried to flatten his crazy hair, but it never would lay flat, so he just gave up after 20 minutes. Next Harry checked to ring, and it looked perfect, so he slid it in his pocket, and 15 minutes later Ginny walked down the stairs.
"You look beautiful, Gin. Would you like to join me for a walk?" Harry asked her.
"I'd love to." Ginny responded.
Ginny took Harry's hand and Harry lead them to the back door of the burrow. They walked for 30 minutes before reaching to vines.
"What is this? I've never seen this before." Ginny asked, clearly surprised.
"This is our date spot." Said Harry, smiling as he moved the vines to reveal what Charlie and Bill had set up.
Ginny's POV
My jaw dropped as I look at the little area, covered with lanterns and candles, and in the middle, there was a romantic table set-up where we could eat dinner.
Harry guided me towards the table and he pulled out my chair so I could sit down. "Thank you Harry" I said.
"Do you like it?" Harry asked me, as if the answer might be no.
"Of course! I love this little place! We could set up a blanket and come here all the time!"
Harry laughed. "Yeah I guess we could." Harry waved his wand and pasta with garlic bread appeared on the table.
"I love garlic bread!" I exclaimed. Harry just laughed at me.
After we finished our meal, Harry got up and helped me out of my seat as well. He guided me over to a empty spot of grass and took both of my hands as he looked in my eyes.
Third person POV
Harry started speaking to Ginny softly. "Ginny, you are the most important person in my life. You mean the world to me. I couldn't imagine a world without you in it. I love you so much, Ginny. I know we might be too young for this, but it feels right." Harry dropped to one knee and tears started to fall down Ginny's face. Harry pulled out a little box from his pocket and revealed a stunning ring. "Ginevra Molly Weasley, will you marry me?"
Ginny smiled. "Yes, of course I'll marry you!"
Harry smiled and got up. He kissed her softly and put the ring on her finger. Ginny hugged him tightly and whispered "This is the best birthday ever, thank you so much Harry."
Harry whispered back, "I love you Ginny."
