CHAPTER FIVE

"You what?!" I screeched as I began hyperventilating looking back and forth between them and Travis. "These are more of your brothers?!"

His smile turned into a smirk when he realized what emotion was actually fueling my reaction.

"Yeah, come on, I'll introduce you." I wanted to say no. I wanted to hide my beet berry red face in this car forever but he was already out of the driver's seat and making his way round to me.

My door was barely fully opened before I was yanked out of my seat into someone's arms.

"Brent, put the poor girl down. She doesn't know you. Remember." Travis chastised, though there seemed to be an undertone to his words suggesting a different type of warning. One that I wasn't aware of.

"Oh shit, sorry Scarlett!." Brent blushed as he put me back on my feet. I was ready to grab onto the car to support my leg but there wasn't any need. Brent kept me up and steady, with strong hands on my waist as Travis passed me my crutch. "I keep forgetting."

"Keep forgetting what?" I asked suspiciously.

"That not everyone is as openly friendly as I am. I act like I've known everyone I meet forever." His words were innocent enough but his awkward fidgeting told me otherwise.

"Sorry, let me start over. I'm Brent Harrington, I'm eighteen and it's a pleasure to meet you." He covered, bending to take my hand and place a gentle kiss on the back of my hand. I couldn't stop the blush that took over my entire body as sparks seemed to connect his lips to my skin. My eyes connected to his vivid blue ones. The same blue as Travis but on Brent they were intermittently hidden by his floppy brown hair that fell in their way.

He looked a lot like Travis only slightly smaller by maybe an inch, if that and he was clean shaven. His smooth, chiseled jaw was on display, causing my tongue to run across my bottom lip before biting it just thinking about licking those smooth sharp lines. Brent's eye's hooded, his thoughts seeming to absorb my own.

He took a half a step closer before a bundle of blonde energy barged him out of the way.

"And I'm Corey." he bent into a graceful bow before grabbing my hand like Brent had and kissing the back, mimicking his brother's gentlemanly gesture. "And this back here is my little brother Preston."

"By three minutes asshole." Preston grumbled. I gasped as I took in both of their appearances.

"Your twins!" I said shocked, even though it was obvious. But that wasn't the thing that shocked me the most. Yes they were identical, although Corey was nearly a full head shorter than Preston at around 5.11. What was most shocking is that they were almost identical to Caleb! Just a younger version. They had that same golden blonde hair and skin and those vivid green eyes. Preston wore his hair short on the sides and slightly longer on top but Corey had more of the messy surfer boy hair as it brushed over his eyes and his collar. So much so that he kept having to do the 'Bieber flick' where he had to keep flicking his head to get it out of his eyes.

I couldn't stop myself from reaching up and running my fingers through its silky softness to brush it out of his face. The movement felt natural and familiar, like something I'd done a million times and it was ingrained in my muscle memory.

Shock crossed Corey's face as I pulled my hand back quickly the moment my mind registered what I had done. Heat flushed my cheeks over being so brazen.

"You remember..." He whispered reverently at the same time I began apologizing profusely.

"I'm sorry! I didn't - I mean, I don't know why I did that." I sputtered, as Corey's face fell in disappointment. What could he be so disappointed about? Was there something I was missing?
