"I can't believe this," Bryan grumbled, now back in his room. "Not only can you read my mind, but you can also possess me? Where is all of this coming from?!"

Goldie rolled his eyes. "I don't understand why you're so upset. Ballora is offering us a place to stay, and you were about to throw it away."

"But-"

"Just trust me on this, Bryan. Please?"

"...Fine."

(This Timeskip was brought to you by Goldie's questionable motives!)

Two weeks later...

"Hey Ballora?" Bryan said, while putting down his fork. Ballora had made cake for the both of them. "Yes, my child?" She looked up. Although Bryan knew exactly what he wanted to say, he hesitated. 'Goldie is trying to stop me again.' He realized. "I...um..."

"Are you okay, Bryan?" Ballora asked, concerned. "Whatever you want to say, I will not be mad-"

"I want to leave the ruins!" Bryan blurted out.

There was no response.

"Ballora..?"

Ballora only sighed. "My child, I've spoken about this with you before. The world outside is dangerous. The monsters out there..."

"They want to hurt, I know. But I can't just live the rest of my life with you. I need to talk to other people! I need to-"

"My child-"

"I need to get out of the underground!"

Ballora stood up. "Bryan!"

Bryan flinched. "You promised you wouldn't get mad..."

Ballora froze. "I'm..." She took a deep breath. "I apologize, my child. I don't know what came over me." She walked over to Bryan and ruffled his hair. "I will think about what you've said." She walked away and downstairs, leaving her unfinished piece of cake abandoned.

Goldie appeared behind Bryan. "Great. Now you've made her upset."

Bryan stood up and turned around. "I made her upset? You're the one that made me stay for so long!"

"And you're the one that told her that you want to leave!" Goldie responded.

"Because I do!" Bryan groaned. "Ugh! Why can't just go away and leave me alone!?"

Goldie's eyes widened. "Wait, Bryan-" He suddenly glitched out of view.

Bryan blinked. "Oops."

He pushed his confusion of what had just happened to the back of his head. Goldie was being a jerk. It wasn't Bryan's fault that he didn't want a ghost dictating his life.

He turned to where Ballora had gone. At least Goldie was right about one thing. The tall monster was obviously upset. "Might as well see if she's okay," Bryan sighed, walking to and then down the stairs.

"Time for determination, I guess."
