Bryan walked down the stairs. As he reached the end, the light brown wood became purple stone. Beyond the stairs was a long hallway covered in the oddly colored rock. Bryan groaned. "Welp, better get walking."
After what felt like eternity, he finally reached the end, where a tall silhouette stood.
"Ballora?"
The figure turned around.
While it was the pale monster, she held an expression on her face that was unrecognizable.
"My child." It was usually a term of endearment, but this time it was a firm statement. "Go back to your room. There is something I need to do."
"Which is?" Bryan question.
"That is none of your concern," Ballora responded vaguely.
"Come on, just tell me! Are you mad at me for yelling?"
"It has nothing to do with this."
"Well that's obviously a lie."
Ballora sighed. "If I tell you, do you promise not to stop me?"
Bryan shrugged. "Depends."
"I'm going to seal the exit of the ruins."
Bryan's eyes widened. "What? You can't do that!"
"You cannot tell me what to do, my child."
"But I can handle myself!"
"Then prove it." Ballora took a powerful stance. "Defeat me in battle, and I will let you go. However, if you yield, you will let seal the exit, and we will never speak of this again."
Bryan took a step back. Every reasonable bone in his body told him to back down, but he knew he couldn't do that. Still, he didn't want to fight anyone.
"Ballora, there has to be another way-"
"Do you want to leave?"
"Well, yeah..."
A fireball was lit in her hand. "Then let's get this over with."
