Alright! Since the contest is over, I decided to finally make this chapter for what really happened in the story, in detail.... I guess. And the behind the scenes, just to let everyone know what happened during the writing process.

Okay, let's start off with how I planned this out.

First of all, I had the whole plot in my head, pretty fixed. All characters in place. Maybe things to be fixed here and there, but it's an alright story.

As I started writing it, I had the whole thing imagined.

Until I got to finish like the second part. The whole plot suddenly got twisted in my head. Some things got jumbled up when I tried to write the next chapters.

So yeah, that's what happened behind the writing process.

NEXT! The original storyline!

So the original idea was Quake coming home after years of being in the organization in the so-called Margent Helper Hall, no actual mention of it in the first chapter. Quake comes home to a very eery house. Same thing in the first chapter.

Then comes Frostfire. Originally, he isn't supposed to appear that early. He was supposed to appear after an event to be mentioned later on.

Now the flashbacks. The first one was before Quake left, as how obvious it is. The POV of the Quake seeing it is trying to convice the other Quake to stay, to not go to Margent Helper Hall. But flashbacks are flashbacks, no one there can hear you after all. Heck they don't know that you are existing during that, nor did you know that stuff would happen anyways.

Second flashback, since after all, Quake said he was going to return in a few months, the others waited for him. But things got a little out of hand during that, which could be the sudden arrival of Retak'ka. They had no real leader to help them. But luckily they were able to fend themselves, just barely. Cue Lightning and Fire's arguement that turned them to both Thunderstorm and Blaze, which in this world, they needed to wait two more years to be able to handle their second form.

Now the third flashback. This is where I think the plot started to get mixed up, but maybe I just shrugged it off for some reason. The now grown up elements facing off a shadowy figure, unclear who it was. Most of them getting hit by the attack, end of flashback. But this is the same flashback that also killed off the four others.

After seeing those events play out, of course Quake would be crying, but all he thought of it was they all got away from the enemies, just not staying in the house anymore, he didn't receive any heads-up about it.

But then since I did not know who else to add after this, Frostfire appeared way too early, like what I said before.

Quake didn't really recognize Frostfire, since he was not aware that they can fuse together, nor did he knew that it was two of his missing siblings. Only until they reveal Blaze and Ice.

Really, it would have ended with the three of them all crying or something, with Quake waking up, knowing those two were still alive, and him doing what is "needed to be done."

But my brain wanted to add a few extra things, so I did.

Now, this is where it really came to me. What if instead of making the original shadowy figure kill them off, but Quake as Reverse. Of course I got the thing to slowly work out.

The flashback to when he arrived at MHH came to be. Thing went well of course, until the sudden disappearance of their "organizer." Which suddenly lead to a voting session. Since a lot of the workers there have heard and seen what Quake did as a hero, they immediately voted him. But the whole organization was pretty much a trap to happen. It was planned out by Mr. Just-Got-Yeeted-By-Supra.

Most of the workers there were aliens, the people who were originally friends with Quake there were not. That is why they were all close there. Not until Quake stepped up to the lead. The assistant has got the plan set. He/she gave a badge to Quake, for recognition. But the badge itself was like some sort of device that can alter someone's behaviour, and the people around them.

That's why things got out of hand for the case. It slowly turned Quake to Reverse, without him actually realizing it.

Now to the "present," by the supposed ending. Ice was the only one who hugged Quake, Blaze was very suspicious of Quake. But first, he saw how genuine he was. Only when he got close was he able to see Reverse.

Which cues the whole arguement, Blaze showing the same badge, more arguments, and lastly Quake realizing what really happened.

So, now that's what happened. Hope it was able to fix some missing holes.
