that nap turned into my waking up at 5 am.

i jump out of bed, fully energized and start to get ready.

my mom will be here by 1 so i have some time to get food and maybe hang out with luna until i leave.

i throw on a simple yet cute outfit.

it was kinda gloomy in los angeles today so this outfit will do.

i leave my hair down and barely do any makeup.

before i leave i send luna a quick text.

i'm leaving the hotel to get some breakfast.

i quickly order a uber and throw on some converse.

the uber was already close so it is quick for him to be in fromt of the hotel.

once i'm already in the uber i get a text.

the car comes to a stop and i look outside the window to see my favorite la breakfast spot.

"thank you!" i thank the uber and get out of the car.

when i enter the small café there is nobody there, as expected it's literally 6 am.

but i am greeted by a friendly voice.

"sunshine!! you're back!" the sweet old man rick greets me.

i wave and take a seat."hi rick!"

he walks up to me and takes a seat at the seat in front of me.

even though i see him like every 3 months he has grown such a soft spot in my heart.

"how have you been love! has school been good?!" he asks with his bright smile.

"it has i'm finally graduating!" i tell him and looks so happy.

"that's amazing jaylani! have you found your soulmate yet?"

i smile softly. "i have but how has been the café been?"

"business has been a little slow recently but other than that we are okay! now would you like your signature bacon, ham, and cheese on a croissant with a vanilla latte?"

"of course i would rick." i tell him and he gets up and starts to make the heavenly sandwich and the vanilla latte i seem to love so much even though coffee really isn't my thing.

it doesn't take a long time for him to come back with the food and i munch on it while scrolling through my social media.

~time skip~

"my mom is already here." i whine to luna and she just smiles.

"we will see each other soon!!" she tells me.

"fine but when i come back i want immediate korean lessons!!"

"okay but hurry up before she leaves you here."

i huff and practically drag myself out of the hotel.

my mom hugs me and puts my suitcase inside of the trunk.

once i enter the passenger seat i get a text.

i'm leaving now :((

i put my phone in my lap and try to relax after this hectic weekend but i get another notification.

i show her the phone and she smiles.

"mom just drive." i tell her with a laugh and she listens but doesn't forget to add a small scold.
