"Why did God let that happen"
"if there really is a good God up there how come there's still so much sickness."
"You don't hurt the people you love, so why does God let this happen."
"I was innocent, and God knew yet I still went to jail."These are some of the questions u ask when the world starts choking you and your prayers seem unanswered. Well, there's a reason for everything and though we might not yet see it, we have a God who sees past our wildest imaginations. Well first imma give you a general answer to your question.
The big picture.
The big pic also known as the plot to some people. As a writer I relate to this very much cause before I begin a new story; I see the finish and the beginning, the end and the start.
If God directs our every move and knows every step of ours even before we take them, then in a way we are his characters and he's our author, the prefect author who has good plans.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, and are called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28Although we might not yet see it, God has a plan, nothing takes him by surprise. He sees everything, just as you think of doing something, he sees you doing it before you even start.
That's why we call him our omniscient God, he knows all.
Jesus told Peter,
"But He said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you deny three that you know Me."
Luke 22 : 34And just that happened, Peter denied Jesus three times, not more, not less, exactly three times before the rooster crowed.
I mean let's see, in the past - the ancient days of Abraham to be exact, God tested Abraham severely. The Almighty asked him to offer his only son Isaac who he;
- had suffered to get
- really loved
- was his only sonAbraham was going to loose a lot if he lost Isaac but he was willing to sacrifice him. Here's what I think.
That the test wasn't only to see if Abraham was faithful, but also because in a few thousand years, God knew He was gonna be in a similar position. I think God wanted to know if the sacrifice was going to be worth it.
These two events, though time lengthy and seemingly unrelated,
God and Abraham have a lot in common here,1. It's both they're only sons. So besides them, there's no one.
2. They both really love them.
3.They'd both suffer the same if they lost their sons.I used to wonder why Ishmael had to be sacked, from Abraham's house cause it wasn't his fault that Abraham had disobeyed God, but I now understand that God wanted Abraham to put all his love in one child.
I know you might be thinking what is she tryna say? and to be frank I'm overwhelmed myself, I mean no one would think about it but the spirit says it so I'll just spread it.
And when Abraham passed, God made a vow, "all nations on earth will be blessed because you obeyed me." and indeed he's kept his promise. The gift of salvation.
Yeah, yeah, God blessed Abraham a lot, I've gone through his story over and over again, yet there wasn't any blessing that could reach me but salvation.
The good news that everyone, everywhere who believes can be a people of God.
Amazing huh? When Abraham was seeing Isaac on the altar, God was seeing Jesus on the cross,(altar).
And as we mere characters saw the beginning and imagined the end, Our perfect author knew the start, the in-betweens and even the end.
In all, God has a plan and nothing happens without a reason. As Christians, we should never forget this, Abraham's faith in some way paved a way for salvation.
I don't know what you're going through neither do I know why it is happening. One thing I know for sure is that God knows, and he's not just tossing your life around: he has a plan.
Who knows, maybe that cancer is the only way to bring your family together, your mother's death ignited a hidden passion buried deep within you, that drug addiction is the only thing keeping you in line.
Haven't you realized, your family's rejection has created more time for you to pray, or your disfigured face is keeping your dad from drinking?
Yeah I know it's hard to keep the faith when you're choking and can't see things coming together but God is still God and maybe that dark past is what you need to fit into the big picture.
My God isn't finished yet,
if he did it before, he can do it again,
so I'll trust him with what comes next,
for the God I know is known for faithfulness.

(Hindsight)Here's a little advice: count your blessings, in all the mess it might be hard to see the good but His word says His mercies are new every morning.
Counting your blessings, will give you hope that God won't fail, He didn't before, why would He now?
Just hold on and be assured that He is God,Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!Psalm 46 : 10
