Chapter VI

Haru's POV

Ugh, Takegawa-san is so pretty! I cant take my eyes off her! But I shoulnt keep staring at her or she will think I'm a freak or a pervert. So I should just look away.

"Is there something wrong? Do I have something in my face?" says Takegawa-san as she wipes a part of her face.

"No, no nothings wrong." I reply.

"Then why do you keep looking at me?" she said.

Shixx! I knew it! What does she think of me now? Dang, I should think of a reason, fast!

"Well, um, we didnt order yet! So Let's order!" I said.

"Oh yeah, I'll order for you, whats your order?" Takegawa-san said.

"Maybe fries and a burger. Yeah and a drink." I said.

"Oh okay, got it." she replies as she approaches the counter.

Phew! That was a load of my shoulder. Luckily I know how to think fast. I may not know it, but I think I'm falling for Takegawa-san.

But, I cant! I shouldnt. Didnt she tell me she had someone she loved? And she would wait for him? But as far as I can remember he already disappeared into thin air. So, maybe I have a chance? I dont know?!

I'm just scared if I dont act fast, someone else might take her away and that would leave me very sad. But I cant confess now, i'm not sure of my feelings yet.

After all, love shouldnt be rushed. It should be thought of first, again and again. Because wrong decisions are just around the corner. Once you end up in a wrong decision, there are consequences and you might even loose something valuable, sometimes, more valuable than a romantic relationship.

Besides, I dont think Takegawa san has moved on from her past love and I dont think she will. If she ever says she loves me back, well I might just be a rebound of her past love. So, in conclusion, I cant act now.

Wow, I am good in debating with myself. I think my true career path was a lawyer! Nah!

Takegawa-san is already back with our orders in her hands.

For the next 2 minutes, awkward silenced enveloped the atmosphere. But Takegawa started talking to break the cold ice.

"So, Haru, you have a girlfriend?"

"Uh-um, no. Not yet, at least."

Frick, why did she have to  ask that question all of a sudden. Hmp, well at least the silence is no longer there.

"Lucky you, you have a boyfriend, right?"

"Huh? What do you mean, I dont."

"How about the Gin guy, the one you told me about."

"What? I dont remember telling you anything about G-Gin. When did I tell you?"

"Oh you dont remember? It was when we were paired together for the product plan, when you went to my house. We were done ahead of time so we celebrated with wine."

"Oh, I must have been so drunk, I dont even remember Hahaha."

"Yes you were, and the funny thing was, that was only 1 glass of wine, you get drunk easily, Takegawa-san."

"Hahahha yes I do, also why dont you call me by my first name? Takegawa is too long."

My heart skipped a beat. Dang I'm all flustered by just calling someone I like their first name. I should act natural.

"Oh o-ok, H-Hotaru." I reply in an embarrassed tone.

This time, Takegawa san was the one who laughed so hard and directed everyone's attention to us.

I walk her home and we say our goodbyes.

I enjoyed today. I wish I could spend more time with ther next time.
