Chapter V

Hotaru's POV

"I'll be back, Hotaru, Please wait for me!"

Those words repeat again and again in my head and I'm finally awake. Tears filling my eyes and Gin's mask in my hands.

I've been dreaming the same dream again and again, only that its not the sorrowful summer night, it was Gin telling me he'll be back and we'll finally live happily ever after. Its still so overwhelming because it feels so real and my hopes are sky high. I definitely, definitely, want to see him again!

"Oh, I'm late yet again!" I tell myself.  "I better hurry and I might get yelled at by the boss."

I've nevee been this late. This is the latest, I mean the Latest! time I ever went to work! Why did I oversleep?

I quickly get ready and head off to work.

I bump into Haru-kun in the train and we say Hello to each other.

"Oh, Haru-kun, youre late too? I thought you would be early starting last week? Hahahha." I said.

"Eh, well, I woke up too early and decided to go for a walk. I kept walking for a very long time and even forgot to bring my phone or a watch to keep track of the time. Without me realizing, it was already very late. So when I arrived home and found out it was already super late, I hurriedly prepared for work which leads us to to now." says Haru-kun with an embarrassed look on his face.

"Oh okay, well, I was late because I overslept. Its been a while since I did so my brain thought it woukd be fun to see my reaction after I knew I was running late." I reply.

Haru-kun lets out a laugh so loud that it caught everyone's attention. I giggled a little and finally arrived at work.

Hours and hours have passed and were finally about to go home! But wow, this is new, I'm not tired yet, I could still go for a snack at a fastfood.

Haru-kun approaches me and looks and kinda shy as he invites me out to eat at a fastfood.

"Just the thing I wanted, lets go!" I reply.

We then head off to a fastfoof to eat.
