CHAPTER 3

ISABELLA POV

"YES! He did, I'm not lying!" I laugh thinking about that day.

"I can't imagine Thomas doing that," Kaya then adds "actually I can!" she bursts out laughing and in five minutes we are still laughing, rolling around on the floor.

"He's really hot though," Kaya pauses and looks at me blushing. Stop blushing! She'll know I like him if I don't stop.

"I knew you liked him!" Kaya screams, smiling at me mentally. I shush her and tell her to be quiet.

"As you know who I like, I think you need to tell me who you like!" I say with a fake smile on my face, every bit of me hoped she wouldn't say Thomas.

"Don't worry, I don't like Thomas. I can tell you're worrying about it, it's written all over your face. First, you have to promise not to tell anyone." I relax a little knowing she doesn't like Thomas but then become curious to whom she likes.

"I promise!" I laugh. She looks at my hands to my sure I don't have my fingers crossed which I laugh again at.

"Dylan," she suddenly bursts out "believe it or not but you are the first person I have told! Thomas knows I like Dylan though, he saw me blushing in gym class when Dylan hugged me to congratulate me on scoring a goal in football." Kaya blushes when she tells me this and this is the first time I realise she's a normal girl. I know this sounds weird but I always thought of her as a really confident person not someone who will blush around boys like Dylan.

"That's why you always hang around Thomas as Thomas is always hanging around Dylan. I now feel so stupid all this time I've hated you as I thought you were trying to steal Thomas away from me" as soon as I say it I wish I didn't. Her face suddenly fell. I'm so stupid I just told her I hated her!

"I'm so sorry! I never hated you! I was just jealous at you! Oh no I feel so stupid!" I covered my face with my hands. I just made a friend now I lost her!

"Don't be! When I first came to the school I was jealous at you. You were always hanging around with the boys Thomas, Ki Hong, Will, Aml, Dexter and Dylan. You could talk to Dylan so easily but whenever I talk to him I say something stupid. I also thought you liked him at first which made me mad at you but then whenever I saw you with Thomas it was obvious you liked Thomas not Dylan!" Kaya apologises to me but I smile at her so she smiles back knowing we are both forgiven we carry on talking.

"I can't believe we haven't talked to each other much yet you seem to know me better then Thomas!" I smile at her. How come she can tell I like Thomas? And Thomas can't?

"Oh I don't know you as well as Thomas I just know one thing he doesn't. Plus boys are really clueless with this stuff!" we both laugh at that and that's when I realise they really are but so are girls...
