CHAPTER 2
ISABELLA POV
*4 YEARS LATER*
Since that day we have been bestfriends. We know each other better then we know our selves. I know all of his secrets and he knows all of mine. That’s how I know he doesn’t like me how I like him. It’s easy to tell that he likes Kaya Scoledario like every boy in the year does. Ever since she came to our school he has been spending less time with me and more time with her. I know it’s stupid to be jealous but how can I not when she’s pretty, funny, kind and talented.
She has played all the main parts in all of the plays we have done. One play we did was Romeo and Juliet and guess who got the lead? That’s right she did! And guess who played Romeo? That’s right Thomas did! I’m lucky Mr Brown hates public affection otherwise Thomas’ first kiss would have been with Kaya instead of me. Thomas tells people he’s already had his first kiss but I know he hasn’t we’ve been bestfriends for ages and I’m the only person he tells these things to. I’ve already had my first kiss (if the cheek counts) with my year 6 crush Isaac Campbell. Thomas (being the person that he is) dared Isaac to kiss me and that’s how my first kinda kiss happened.
I throw the duvet off me, stand up and get changed into my school uniform. I grab my phone to look at the time and see that it’s already 8:27. Realizing that I am going to be late I run down stairs, grab an apple and rush out the door. Great! It was raining i dashed back inside and grabbed my coat.
"Miss Taylor, why were you late?" Mr Brown asked
"I was...umm......I'm sorry I was late!" I murmered
"Well 'I'm sorry I was late' isn't good enough! Detention after school!" Mr Brown says smugly. That's Mr Brown for you only happy once he's made your life horrible.
"Mr Brown umm... it wasn't her fault she was late I promised to give her a ride...... and then I must of forgot! Sorry Izzy!" I looked around, who said that? That's when I saw who said it. Kaya!
"Well Miss Scoledario, I guess you will be there too!" Mr Brown replies grimly.Kaya sighs and then gives me a smile and shrugs as if saying 'I tried'
The bell goes off which means it's time for the next class. I close my textbook and pick up the rest of my books. I see Kaya leave the class so I rush after her.
"Thanks Kaya for that!" I say, maybe she isn't so bad after all.
"No problem! Hey, do you want to do something after school? Well after detention?" Kaya says and that's when i realize she isn't that bad after all and it would be great to be friends with her so I reply saying yes.
"Bye! See you at detention!" I say walking to my newt class
