Not every character has to be a child of the Big Three, Athena, etc. Make them a child of Demeter, Ares, Nike, Hecate, use some more unknown gods! Make a child of Britomaris, I have yet to see one. Also, just another thing, don't make them excessively use technology. If they're in an emergency, go ahead, but just texting a friend in no emergency? Yeah, no.
