Okay. Today, you told them and they'll be expecting you. They'll understand right? God, I hope they do. Maybe they won't think you're just a sad piece of trash that won't let go. ...Okay now I just hurt my own feelings. I grab my keys and wallet and head out the door. I'm supposed to meet them in ten minutes! Why did I leave so late again? Oh yeah, fear. I quietly kept thinking about how they'd react on my way to some coffee shop they wanted to try out.
I finally got there and spotted them sitting in a corner to the back. As I walked through and the little bell went off they snapped their heads up and smiled. I smiled back of course but they could probably tell how nervous I was. "Hey Wonho! We didn't order yet so what're you feelin?" Changkyun smiled up at me while I was getting situated next to Kihyun. "Uh, hot chocolate, I'm not a coffee guy really." They all smiled and Minhyuk ran to order, "So...why'd you call us here? And only us, I'd think you'd maybe want everyone here if it's this important to you." Kihyun put his head in his palm and gave me a concerned look. You remind me of my mom, Kihyun. "Shownu and Jooheon know, and I wanted to talk...about Hyungwon to you all anyways." I rubbed my nape and waited for a response. Instead Kihyun gave me a motherly smile and Changkyun and Minhyuk looked a bit sad. "I'm glad you feel comfortable telling us Wonho."
"Thank you for telling me Seokie, I'm glad you can trust me. I'll always support whatever makes you happy."
I smiled back at them and we got our orders, "Whenever you're ready." Minhyuk gave a reassuring smile. I sighed, it's now or never. "Uh well to start, I thought I had been rude when I kinda lashed out when you asked to come over to my place. My anxiety took over and I snapped instead of just telling you why and I'm really sorry for that." They all gave me sympathetic looks, "Honestly, we shouldn't have pushed it, we should be the ones apologizing, even though you are pretty scary when you're upset." Changkyun stated and I let out a chuckle. "Well I accept the apology. But for the reason I lashed out, I was scared. Scared you'd be too uncomfortable in there with me." Minhyuk looked confused then let out a gasp, "You ARE a serial killer!" I gave him a playful punch and laughed.
"No, it's um.." deep breaths Hoseok, deep breaths. "I didn't originally own the apartment. My mother lived there for some time actually. About half a year or so ago her health problems grew worse so I moved in to help with expenses and such." I look up and they're already tearing up, Kihyun reaching in a wiping my tears with his thumb, "N-Not even two weeks later she passed away in her sleep. I shut down the morning I found her, all while shutting Shownu and Jooheon out. They came everyday and took care of me and I still feel horrible for it. The worst part is that...I never threw away her stuff. It's like she lingers there and I'm afraid to let go. She meant so much to me."
Minhyuk and Changkyun were sobbing messes while Kihyun was still smiling, "Wonho, thank you. We'll be patient with you and you can always tell us things like this. Even though we've known each other for a short time we're grateful for you. Whenever YOU are ready, we'll give you full support, even Hyungwon." Minhyuk and Changkyun nodded along with Kihyuns words. I sniffled and thanked them. "Oh! What about Hyungwon?" Changkyun got excited over the mention of the boy.
I chuckled before explaining to them how I should approach the situation with him, I grew close with him and din't wanna risk our relationship on the new information. They all gave each other a look, "We'll help you with him, don't worry!" Minhyuk looked very determined.
