The Ghost Boy of the Justice League

The invasion part 2

Metropolis 

Danny, Wonder Woman and J'onn landed on a rooftop, they were looking down and saw the streets in chaos, people were either stealing things or creating more problems 

"so much for the city of tomorrow" said Danny watching as a man painting the 'the end is near' on a wall 

"perhaps mother was right about mans world, they're nothing but untamed savages" said Wonder Woman disappointed in what she was seeing 

"do not judge them to harshly" said J'onn "they act out of fear"

"besides not all men are bad" said Danny pointing at two bikers trying to lift up a pile of rubble

"hey theres kids trapped under here someone give us a hand" one of the bikers said 

"will this do" said Green Lanterns using his ring to lift up the rubble to reveal two little kids 

The bikers picked them up and were about to carry them to safety before turning to Green Lantern

"thanks man" said one of the bikers 

Green Lantern nodded before flying over to Danny Wonder Woman and J'onn with a red blur following below him, Green Lantern landed on the roof as Flash ran up the building and jumped on the roof 

"sorry we're late" said Green Lantern "had to stop and help some civilians"

"what'd you call us back for?" said Flash

"Superman's been captured, he's trapped somewhere inside there with Hawkgirl" said Wonder Woman pointing to a factory not to far away 

"whoa" said Flash

"and what about Batman?" asked Green Lantern, the other heroes lowered their heads 

"he acted heroically to the very end" said J'onn

"the Bats gone" said Flash with a shocked expression 

Wonder Woman nodded "he was a true warrior"

"this is not good" said Green Lantern walking to edge of the roof looking at the alien factory "definitely not good" 

Later

The heroes were hiding behind some debris looking at the factory trying to come up with a plan

"i can't believe we're doing this again" said Flash 

"if Superman and Hawkgirl are in there then someone's got to recue them" said Green Lantern before turning to the Martian "you are sure they're still in there aren't you?" he asked but got no answer

The four heroes looked at J'onn who had his head down with a blank expression 

"J'onn?" asked Danny "you still in there man?"

J'onn finally looked at them "yes, your friends are alive but we must act quickly, the Imperium is coming"

"the who?" asked Flash

"the supreme intelligence that controls these invaders" explained J'onn "we have met before"

"can we trust this space case" whispered Flash to Green Lantern

"what choice do we have" he answered before they got up "ok, we're going in Flash, Danny you two create a diversion, Diana watch my back"

"you wanna rely on a couple of amateurs?" ask Wonder Woman putting her hands on her hips with an amused smirk on her face

Danny chuckled at that "she's got you there Lantern"

Green Lantern just glared at them "lets move!" he ordered as he Wonder Woman and J'onn flew towards the factory while Danny and Flash went to distract the walker
