The Ghost Boy of the Justice League

Metamorphosis part II

Green Lantern woke up groaning in pain before opening his eyes to see Mason holding two fireballs in his hands ready to burn him alive 

"Mace stope i'm not-" started Green Lantern 

"i don't wanna hear it!" yelled Mason as he brought his hands together creating a huge fireball over his head and was about to throw it at him when a green blast suddenly hit him in the chest sending him flying 

The metahuman got up to see Phantom landing in front of Green Lantern his bright green eyes glaring at him as he made his fists glow green 

Phantom looked back at Green Lantern to make sure he was ok "you alright GL?" 

The emerald knight nodded letting him know that he was alright making the ghost boy smile before turning his attention back to Mason 

"ok buddy you can either give up or i can make you" said Phantom as he got ready to fight "your choice" 

Mason only growled before turning his arms into swords and charged at him and began swiping and jabbing at him trying to get a hit in but Phantom just dodged and turned intangible whenever the blades got to close, he raised his hands to block the swords before slamming both his feet into Masons chest sending him flying into a nearby wall before charging at him aiming a kick at his head but Mason grabbed his ankle and slammed him against the wall before throwing him away but Phantom was able to straighten himself before looking up to see Mason fire his wooden darts at him 

Phantom turned intangible letting them fly through him before firing a ghost ray at Mason who fired his own fire blast at him making the two attacks collide as they fought to push each other back

Phantom put as much of his power into it as he could but due to Mason being fueled by his anger against Green Lantern put more power into his blast easily overpowering Phantom sending him flying a few feet away screaming in pain 

When the smoke cleared Phantom was seen lying on the ground groaning in pain with his body and costume smoking 

Mason walked up to him and made another giant fireball 

"Mace don't!" shouted Green Lantern, but he wouldn't listen and threw the fireball at the downed hero but before the attack could hit Superman suddenly landed in front of Phantom letting the fireball hit him instead which didn't hurt or burn him because of his invulnerability 

Seeing this Mason turned his arms into swords began cutting and stabbing at him but his attacks did nothing against the man of steel, Mason turned his arm into a mace this time and was about to hit Superman over the head only for him to push him away sending him into a couple of crates 

"relax i've got him" said Superman looking back at Phantom only gave a smile and a thumbs up, Superman walked towards Mason and picked him up by his skin "come along quietly or i'll"

Superman was cut off when Mason suddenly grabbed his wrist as his hand glowed green, Superman suddenly started to feel very weak and sick as he started groaning in pain meaning that the green energy was kryptonite radiation, Superman let Mason go as he continued to get weaker 

"Mace don't your killing him!" exclaimed Green Lantern knowing that the longer Superman was around kryptonite the weaker he would get 

Mason looked at him before looking down at Superman "whats happening to me?" 

"let him go!" yelled a voice making him look up to see Hawkgirl flying towards before she hit him in the face with her mace making him turn into to some type of liquid 

Hawkgirl watched as the liquid formed back into a Masons head before charging at him again but Mason turned both his arms gray before stretching them at her
