In this world, Harry and Louis can't risk their relationship coming out. They aren't even out to the other former members of One Direction! Their way of communication is through very vague love letters which they leave in each other's mailboxes every day, shooting a text about something out of the blue or commenting on a post when they leave the notes behind.

Dear Lou,
I can't wait for the events that will occur tonight! The meteor shower is sure going to be beautiful, don't forget to wear eye protection!

Yours truly,
H

Louis read the note in his best friends voice. He knew for sure that there wasn't a meteor shower and he wasn't going to need eye protection for where he was going.

Louis: Got it! I can't wait to see it!
Harry: Great, it's going to be at 7:00
Louis: I wouldn't miss it for the world.

The exchange brought the two boys such joy. There was something like an adrenaline rush that courses through their veins whenever they talked in their secret language. They did this during so many interviews, they were surprised that their fans didn't catch on yet!

Louis started to write his own letter, not signing it with the intention to add something more after their date. Tucking it away under his mattress, he still felt as though he was a kid, hiding the posters of cute guys or hiding his guy crushes from his parents. Now that Louis has moved out, that wasn't much of a problem. The media had become his and Harry's overbearing parents, and they didn't know which was better or worse.

Adjusting his jeans and tshirt, Louis grabbed his car keys and flowers from a vase. Smiling to himself, he made sure to leave one behind. Although many would have seen this as weird, this is what Harry and Louis would usually do. They would pass bouquets back and forth, always taking one more flower to keep until either there were no more flowers or the flowers started to wilt.

When Louis arrived a the specific coordinates in one of the letters exchanged beforehand, he was surprised to see that Harry had laid out a whole picnic in the clearing of a forest. Harry patted the blanket that was held down by two baskets, a cooler, and his body, signaling for the older boy to lay down with him. Candles riddled the blanket as well, as night was descending quickly and they would need some light source.

"Do you like it?" Harry inquired, tilting his head to the side.

"Like it? I love it!" Louis embraced the other boy, holding their bodies together tightly. Right now, there was no media looking over their shoulders. Right now, there was no one watching. Right now, there was just Harry and Louis. Louis and Harry.

Pulling apart from the hug, Harry stated "Come on, let's eat before it gets too dark." Louis couldn't disagree with that.

Opening the first basket, Harry pulled out home made sandwiches, salads, and a pie. Out of the other basket came an abundance of fruit and veggies, such as watermelons and kiwis. The cooler had drinks ranging from Louis' favorite brand of iced coffee to his favorite brand of alcohol. After setting up the picnic, laying out all of the food, and lighting the candles, Harry took a step back to observe his work.

"Do you like it?"

"How many times are you going to ask me that, Harry! You know that I will always adore you and everything you do, especially when you think of me enough to get my favorite brands of everything. You made multiple of my favorite sandwiches, you didn't even take yourself into account. I love you, Harry. And no date or anything for that matter will change that." Harry blushed at his boyfriends words. He could notice a slight blush creep onto his boyfriends face as well. Shit. This was the first time one of them had said I love you!

"I love you too, Lou." Harry stated after quite some time. "Now let's eat before the candles burn out and the creatures come to get us." Harry wiggled his eyebrows and imitated a scary monster.

"Let's." Louis laughed, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

When everything was eaten and all of the drinks were thoroughly enjoyed, the two boys laid down under the stars. The candle light barely lit up the rest of the woods but it lit up their faces just fine. As stars started appearing in the sky, Louis would point out which constellation was which and the two would try to make and name different constellations out of different stars. They had forgotten the pain of the real world. The only thing in this world right now was them, and they were happy about it. No more pretending to date women. No more lying in interviews. Just plain and raw joyful ness radiated off of the two as they smiled and laughed.

They weren't keeping track of time and eventually got tired. Still pointing cool star formations out every once and a while, the boys would find themselves drifting off to sleep. The last thing they could remember before everything went dark was Louis laying his head on Harry's chest and Harry's arm wrapped around him, keeping him safe. They wouldn't wake up for hours, which was good. They needed  the rest and they needed the time off. More than anything they needed each other.

[A/N] This chapter was really all over the place but once I started writing I like combined 30 different ideas with each other. I'm really tired because, again, I write these at 2-4 a.m. every day so that's that. I hope y'all enjoyed even though it probably made no sense but thanks for reading. Goodnight 💕 (or good morning or good afternoon depending where you are). Don't forget to treat people with kindness wherever or whoever you are :)
