As much as Raven wanted to claim her throne, the inevitable will come afterwards. She didn't dread to rule over the Werewolf Empire just as she did facing her mate.

"The clouds are turning grey." Mark had stated and the woman made no attempt to take cover from the storm, only watching the waves of water. A heavy fog covered what was at the distant as they headed towards the fallen pack. "It reminds me the first time you came to Noble pack, looking dreary."

"I've witnessed more than what a pup doesn't deserve to see." Her face turned cold.

"That's the look I was talking about." Mark said and put his hand over hers, his voice gentle.

"Marcus and I took a rather long time before we got you to talk. We don't want to see you trap yourself in that void again."

Raven looked at Mark, he looked genuine and it made her happy to meet a friend like him.

Both of them were wearing tunics that were fit for any battles or encounters. As usual, Raven had only brought her dagger while the man she was with was fond of knives and a war hammer.

"I won't." She replied, assuring the man. "This time, I would be the one to protect pups around the world from ever experiencing that kind of torture, I'll make sure of it."

When the ship arrived at the shore, both of them sniffed the air and realized that they weren't alone.

Mark and Raven covered their bodies with mud to hide their scents, they removed their tracks as the two moved carefully towards the remnants of Imperial pack, only to see that the company they had were pack members that bared the seal of Royal pack.

"They're trying to find the Imperial seal." Mark stated as they peeked through the forest in where they wouldn't be spotted easily.

Raven had tried to decipher the words, recalling every detail her late father had imparted. If she was right, the Imperial seal should be hidden somewhere deep into the Palace.

"Do they have camp?" She asked and Mark pointed to a trail of smoke from where Raven concluded their camp was set up. "I'll go alone, you burn their supplies and I want you to burn the Palace after two hours or so."

"Are you out of your mind?" He harshly whispered. "Will you be fine going alone?"

"Unfortunately, I am." She said. "And yes, all of them will be bound to check what caused the fire and I need you to leave if you need to, don't hesitate to run when you feel that it's out of your control."

"If I were to burn the Palace, there's a high chance that you will go down with it." With the structure being worn and old, there was a high chance that the flames will destroy it before she gets the chance to get out.

"Trust me." She said and Mark heaved a sigh.

"Don't kill yourself, Raven. You still owe me. If you die, I will burn all of the tunics in your closet." He said and she nodded, grinning.

Both of them went separate ways, Raven had to move fast before the Royal troops finds out there was a rat among them.

As soon as thick black smoke erupted, the guards in search of the Imperial seal had been alerted. To Raven's advantage, no one will catch her scent for having the air obscured their sense of smell.

For a moment, she felt pity for the supplies and camp going to waste.

The woman headed towards the chapel, seeking any signs of threat then much to her luck, all seemed occupied by what interrupted the search.
