As the morning sun broke through the clouds sun-rays shone through the window. Abraham was awake and so was Betty. She was lying curled up on her side facing away from Abraham. He studied her almost motionless body. "Now you know what the customers will expect from you as my number one girl," Abraham said to Betty, she didn't move or respond to him. Abraham got up and left the room, Betty could hear him relieving himself into the chamber pot in his office whilst whistling in a jovial and satisfied tone.

Once he was finished Abraham took his chamber pot and carried it out to the balcony. He then surveyed the town which he did quite often in the morning, there was something peaceful about seeing the town so quiet in comparison to the scenes of an evening. As he finished taking in the sights of the morning he looked down to see a drunk passed who had been drinking excessively the night before at the saloon, almost without hesitation he grabbed his chamber pot and casually poured the contents over the man making sure to aim for his lower half.

Abraham then stepped back inside his office then made his way to his room where Betty had not moved, he approached the bed then addressed her. "You're free to go unless you want to stay." With that Betty finally moved, she picked up her clothes and dressed as quickly as she could. All the time Abraham looked at her like an animal stalking its prey. "Take the morning and afternoon off and make sure to go see the doc for some of that lotion," Abraham said, Betty didn't reply, she just nodded and left as quickly as she could.

Betty headed downstairs, she didn't run but her pace was quicker than a walk. She kept her head up but looked down, she wanted to get to the doc as soon as possible. Before she left the saloon she was stopped by someone calling her name, it was Pearl "Betty where have you been? No one has seen anything from you since yesterday afternoon." Betty didn't answer straight away, the two women looked at each other then Betty spoke: "I need to go see the doc," she whispered.

"One of the girls said that they saw you coming out of Bram's office?" Pearl asked. Betty didn't respond straight away, this caused Pearl to say her name in a demanding tone.

"I need to go see the doc" Betty repeated and left.

"Bram Cohen, you bastard!" Pearl cursed under her breath.

Pearl stormed to Abraham's office with such purpose, she was a woman possessed. She didn't even knock on the door, she barged in so angrily that anyone could be mistaken that she broke through the door. This caused a look of absolute shock on Abraham's face as he looked at Pearl stunned.

"WHAT IN GODS NAME DID YOU DO TO THAT POOR GIRL?" Pearl raged at Abraham.

"I fucked her, what else would a man do in bed with a whore?" Abraham replied, still looking disturbed by Pearl's entrance into his office. There was an awkward tense moment where it looked like that Pearl was about to explode, Abraham was actually scared at what Pearl would do next.

"Don't play stupid with me Bram! I've known you longer than anyone, I know what it is you do, the games you play with the new girls, what you do. I am telling you now, leave her be or I swear to God!" Pearl spat.

"You willing to take her place? I'm sure even at your age, you could show the clients a thing or two?" Abraham replied with a smirk. He had barely finished when Pearl slapped him so hard that it sent him sprawling and he fell back on to his desk.

With that Pearl stormed out of Abraham's office before he had time to react, after Abraham composed himself he checked his mouth for blood and smirked to himself. "Still as fucking feisty as ever darlin'," he muttered under his breath.

Abraham took a moment to regain his composure before he returned outside to the balcony, he lent on the balustrade and again surveyed the town. His attention was turned to the drunken man who was the earlier target of his chamber pot and smiled to himself.
