Chapter 22

SAIKI P.O.V
I invited Y/n over so I could ask her what our relationship status is. Someone as gorgeous and kind as her could be with anyone she wanted, at any time, no questions asked. So I just wonder if she really wants to be with a plain guy like me.

"Are you okay? You looked troubled?" Y/n asked getting on her tippy toes.

I blinked a bit. "Yeah I just wanted t-to talk to you about something kind of s-serious" I stuttered.

She looked a little worried. "Hey Kyoko, wait out here I'll see you in a little" she grabbed my arm.

"Hey what're you doing?" She ignored my question and led me into my house.

What's she thinking?

Once she dragged me upstairs and into my room she threw my on my bed. "Are you okay? Seriously you never stutter so this is really serious huh? She furrowed her eyebrows, sitting on the floor.

"Uhm, yeah I guess so" My head fell down with my eyebrow twitching a bit.

Am I sure about this, I mean what we have going right now is great but if I ask her she'll totally leave me and go find some better looking rich guy. I don't think I wh-

She lifted my chin up to look he in the eyes "Well, what's wrong, please tell me"

Y/N P.O.V
His eyes were kind of twitching and he looked really lost in thought. "This isn't like you, y'know I'm really worried about you Ku" I sweated.

Wait, sad tone, 'something serious'.. ah! does he want to leave me! I mean I don't know if we're even 'official' but I definitely don't want him to dislike me! I mean I know 100% that I reallyyyyy like him, and definitely want to try being in a relationship with him.

Oh wait! He probably does want to leave me, I mean Saiki doesn't seem like he'd want to be in a romantic relationship with anyone, and even if he did, probably not me, I mean maybe it's my eyes..ugh. I need to calm down or he'll be able to read my mind.

"Y/n, look" he started. I gulped.

Definitely sound like he's gonna cut things off with me.

"You're absolutely perfect, you're so nice, pretty, accepting and the whole world probably adores you but..." Oh I see, 'but I'm not among those people'

"...but there's plenty of fish in the sea and...ugh I'm no good at this sort of thing" What? Letting people down easy.

"Hold it" I started. I sighed. "I could the same thing about you y'know" I lop-sidedly smiled, still trying to mask my feelings.

SAIKI P.O.V
Wait...did she just-

"And even if we don't end up together romantically, I'll always support you and want to be around you because I don't think I could live if I didn't get to see you anymore" Oh so I was right...she wants to be friends, not together.

"But what's the point of you telling me all this? What's the real message? You're not the type to beat around the bush" she rubbed her right arm with her left hand.

"Actually I have something to ask too, so let's just say it together!" She yelled. I sighed.

"Okay.." I looked up from the ground.

We both breathed in. "Do you want to leave me?"

I looked at her in disbelief. "Are you kidding me! Why would I ever think about doing something like that?"

"Same goes for you! I-I think I love you, I wouldn't even dream of leaving for anyone, not anyone! Ever!" She sat up from her spot into he ground.

I'm so relieved! I feel so happy I could actually...am I crying.

Y/N P.O.V
I looked at Kusuo's face and he was...crying? I came up to him and felt kind of weird so I just went with whatever I was feeling. I sat on his lap and kissed the tears off of his face.

"You should be happy! Please don't cry" I hugged him.

I threw my bag on his bed somewhere and looked into his eyes. "Wait, you are happy...right?"

He looked at me for a while as if he was contemplating doing something. Before I could speak he planted his lips on mine.

"Mm, mmph" I hummed, fairly shocked. When we broke apart he smiled, which was weird. I haven't seen him do that too often. "I'm wayyyy, beyond the point of being happy Y/n" he laughed a little.

I blushed. He's really..cute. "So will you uh...be my boyfriend" I asked, rather shy.

He shook his head aggressively. Before it could get awkward I opened my mouth to talk. "So you wanna, uh, do that again?" I asked. It was silent a little while after I asked.

"S-Sorry we don't have t-" he kissed me again, which led to something rather heated.

"Kusuo, some cats are meowing outside of the window and I was hoping you could uhm" I turned around and saw Kusuo's mom.

I got off of Saiki's lap and shuffled around in my bag. "Mom!" He grumbled. Once I had it grasped I shot her with Kusuke's mind erasure gun.

"Sorry Miss Future Mom in Law" I tilted my head to the side closed eye smiled. "Teehee"
