Sorry the chapter's a little shorter. I did this within an hour but I'll make it up tomorrow.
"Damian," Marinette shook his arm. "Damian it's 9:30. We gotta get ready, Come on." He scowled.
"No, I wanna stay here." He was awake now. Marinette rolled her eyes and sat up. He grabbed her waist and pulled her back down "No."
"I know you don't want to move, but I have to finish an order. I have to deliver it later." he shook his head. "Damian, I'm serious. This is the last day I have to get it done. Where did I put my planner?" She tried to get up and was still held down.
"No planner, no commosion, stay."
"I can't. How about I bring it in here and I'll work on it here. It's an album cover. I just need to sketch." he smirked and rolled over. He opened a drawer in his nightstand and pulled out a sketchbook and a pencil.
"Here ya go. See? You don't even have to get up." she laughed.
"Let me go get my planner. I'll be right back. Promise." he scowled and let her go. She walked across the hall and opened her door. She got her planner, her sketchbook, her tablet and her laptop. When she returned, He was sketching. "Whatcha drawing there?" he turned the book around and it was Gotham Park at sunset. The one they saw last night. "That's pretty" he hummed a thanks. Incoming phone calls came in.
"Hello, this is Audrey Bourgeious's assistant Lena. Miss Audrey wants to know how the commision this week is going." Marinette switched the phone to the other ear as she flipped through her books.
"Hi Lena, it is almost finished. I just have to finish the hemming and put my signature on it. I can get it to you tomorrow at the latest." She opened her laptop and brought up her commision list. "I can sqeeze you in after I run an order or two around 5:30 later. Is that ok?" she opened her planner that was maxed out already.
"Sounds great Marinette. Take your time. I'll see you later!" she hung up and brought up her list again. Damian took the laptop from her.
"Holy shit. You weren't kidding. You are fifteen Marinette. How the hell do you have this much work? You said you just had to do an album cover!?" she let out a humorless laugh.
"That was just added. I can push the album cover about a week to fill in with this. Jagged doesn't mind. He also sees the list. Penny has been helping me out," She skipped over a a few pages in her planner. About an hour later, she was able to redo her schedule and Damian was laying with his head in her lap, still sketching. "Hey, I finished. It might be 10:30, but I finished the online stuff for today, so that's at least out of the way." he popped up.
"You're done? All that?" he looked at the list on the laptop. What had 30 notifications, now had 3. "Great! Let's go, I am starving as I'm sure you are so can we please leave this room?" She laughed and nodded. By the time they got downstairs, everyone was at work, or was working at the table. Jason had a bottle of scotch in his hand and he was on the phone. He waved to Marinette, then got back to work. He took a swing of scotch and shouted,
"I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK. GET OUT OF MY APARTMENT." he hung up "So Mari, how's it going?" the phone rang again but with a different ringtone it was playing the Nyan Cat song. "Alright, who's the wise guy that put the Nyan Cat song on Roy's number?" he answered and put it on speaker.
"hey bitch what's up?" Jason rolled his eyes.
"I'm not your bitch." (does anybody understand this reference?)
"well that's dissapointing." Jason stood up and removed he, his scotch, and his phone from the table and headed to one of the living rooms.
"Hey Damian," he looked up with a mouth full of cereal, "I've seen just about every room in the house, right?" he stared at her in disbelief.
