Tangled in the Shadows

Epilogue

All of the Resistance was celebrating as they saw Sonic, Shadow, Silver, and Knuckles coming back to the planet and then turned back to normal once they landed on the ground.

Saffron: (hugging Charmy who was blushing) Look! They're back!

Tangle: (hugging Shadow) You did it!!!

Tangle got a hold of herself when she relized what she was doing and then the others were around.

Tangle: (pulling away) "ahem" I mean... good job! Though what happened with Shade?

Sonic: Let's just say that he's never going to bother us again.

Lupe: What did you do?

Knuckles: Fired the Eclipse Cannon and incinerated him.

Sonar: (Amazed) Really!?

Spike: (trying to calm Sonar down) Well at least it's done.

When everyone else was talking and celebrating, Tangle walked over to Shadow where they where alone.

Tangle: Hey, Aren't you going to celebrate with the rest of us?

Shadow: Yeah... it's just that Eclipse and Eggman will be back and... well... don't want to see you hurt again.

Tangle: Oh from earlier... with the scar... (rubbing where the scar was at) Well tikal fixed me up so I'm up and running! I'm fine!

Shadow: Hmpt. How long did you know that your my adopted sister?

Tangle: When Eggman was showing you that Ark fotage (chapter 6-7) I was pretending that I was still knocked out and of how much I was suprized that I was a Robotnik and about my real family. Though I have many questions about how I'm not like 50 now and along with other stuff with my past, I'll figure that out later.

(The real truth was that Tangle, when Space Colony Ark was being shut down and when she was little, Tangle was sent in a chamber in deep sleep down the planet and it prevented ageing or something like that along with Gerald Robotnik putting some of Shadow's blood in her to begin with. It also made her find her way to Shadow in the first place and survive the Space Colony Ark thing. The second time she received Shadow's blood made the bond stronger, you know. But this will remain a mystery to Tangle and Shadow. Thought I let you know.) 

Shadow: And with the promise I made to protect you...

Tangle: ... You kept it because if it wasn't for you back there I would've been worse then a scar in face. And I also protected you near that cliff so there's that.

Shadow: It was you that came up with the idea that ended Shade.

Tangle: Well I have my moments and is that all that your upset about?

Shadow: How do you know I'm upset?

Tangle: I just... know somehow by feeling it in my gut.

Shadow: I already told you the reason, but... there's is something else I wanted to tell you.

Tangle: What is it?

Shadow: It's just that I... love you like a Real sister and do not want to lose you like with Maria...

Tangle looked shocked at Shadow while he blushed at what he said.

Tangle: (in her head) I'd never thought I hear him say that about me. I know I he's not the type for this but...

Tangle hugged Shadow again but this time was in full control of it while Shadow looked at her in shock.

Tangle: (tearing up) I love you too. She was my sister too so I know how you feel. And I know we will never lose each other again. That's Our promise.

Then to her suprize Shadow hugged her back with tears in his eyes too. Though they didn't notice that the Chaotix was watching (talk about embarissing if they find out).

Espio: (whispering) I'd say we go before they notice.

Then they went somewhere else...

Vector: Aww come on, Espio.

Charmy: Yeah. It was getting interesting!

Espio: Charmy, you take it offencive when we see you and Saffron dating.

Charmy: (blushing while looking at Saffron who was talking to Amy) T-That's different! They're just siblings!

Espio: Though, kind of interesting that those two has something similar to the Soul Touch that only echidnas like Knuckles used to have.

Vector: Anything can happen with their relationship.

Then the Chaotix bumped into Tails who heard that as well.

Vector: (nervous) Oh hey, Tails! W-We were just--!

Tails: It's ok, Vector. I heard everything and I have the answer on how Tangle and Shadow might have  something similar to the Soul Touch. Well sort of ... I might have accidently put some of Shadow's Black Arm part of him into Tangle when trying to save her which is somehow making them mentality connected, like a Mind Link. But the good news is that there isn't going to be any harmful effects though I think that, their Mind Link, might be considered an effect from it. Though I think it's best not to tell her.

Vector: Well everything can't be perfect all the time. 

Charmy: Yeah! You tried your best!

Espio: And if it wasn't for you, Tangle would've died.

Tails: (smirking) Ok! Ok! I get it. Well I'll be seeing you guys around! (walking away)

Vector: Well even though it was her who solved our case, it's case closed! Hopefully she can still pay but until then, now we can relax and chill until the next threat comes our way! (watching a beautiful sunset with the rest of the Resistance).
