We strolled to a lake just around the boundaries of the forest. Gentle breeze and smell of the flowers made my heart ache just a little. I shall not be able to enjoy it a little longer after all. Avril and Vasila knew I liked the civilization or rather, the part of me it held captive.
Married to the warlock prince, my mother had been happier than ever. Almost forgetting the words of the darkness. Soon came the day of my birth. It was told to me how grand celebrations were held, magic of all elements flowed through the forest. Only, it was forgotten that the spells had been lifted. The ignorants could see what had been hiding in the forest. So they came with torches ablaze, ready to devastate. Merry making turned into tragedy soon. The zahhak tribe went to fight and protect. So did my father. Although the humans were overpowered, the prophecy didn't change. It turned my mother's world upside down. My father was held chained by the leader of the group, Bader. "Ah. A prince. Leave my men! Or I'll behead your precious prince."
"Bader! You call yourself the successor to Kaveh but You've done worse than our ancestors! This evil venom you spread without the snakes on your arms is bound to bring you end. You've done enough harm to us!",cried the wiccan queen. "But today, we have with us, the death of you. Revenge shall be visible to the posterities. Once seventeen years to come pass."
Hysterically, it is said, he laughed hysterically. He took my father away and held him captive. Every year, during the ceremonial days, my father, kept in a cage, in a withered, tormented state is kept right in front of the forest. They hope we'll come out and try to save him. I want to. I've always tried to. But I've been stopped. For it's written. It's in my destiny. Nothing from the prophecy can be changed.
