Beautiful, tranquil day,
Her most priced and cherished possession fell to oblivion,
and unknowingly, a part of her, too, went down.
'Twas the beginning of winsome, ghastly days.

That night she went to bed, sad -
However, ready to put her mishaps behind,
Tomorrow rule with a smile, head high.

Her fears,
those she ran from,
Caught up.
Her defense and army, all were futile.
That night, she went to bed,
but didn't even get to know how sleep tastes like.
O! Should she have cherished the sleep!

She was ready early,
to catch her ride.
Only to watch it leave -
as if she was invisible.
And in seconds,
Her reign was crumbling.
All she built,
Fell, or, was grabbed.
Her prince,too,
Left her for a peasant girl,
Without even a bye.
~apparently he left before her fall. Silently.
All she knew, loved, cherished.
Gone.
Stolen - for someone else keep.

Everyone around,
mocked, ridiculed and thrashed her.
Her crony, chum and confidants,
They all forsook her.
Her greatest foes laughed.
And slowly, she too, fell.

Her reign,
Her kingdom,
Her.
Everything,
Gone.
Puff!

On this cliff I stand,
me,
who was once a queen,
ready to fall,
I accept my fate.

Looking back,
I lament and yowl.
Not for long though,
as I start dancing again,
I smile again.
I chortle -
more like guffawing,
and celebrate

A queen is not made,
She is born.
A queen never falls,
She slips.

I cannot be the first to fall.
Head-high,
I match back,
Take what is rightfully mine,
Destroy it all.
Rebuild it - more powerful and mightier.

This is not the downfall of a queen.
'Tis an uprising,
An ascent,
Salvation of a legend.
An unforgettable, legendary queen!!
