Chapter 4- bonding

Max's POV

The song ends and I look over at Rachel and Chloe. Rachel is running her finger through Chloe's hair. "we should get inside guys, it's getting dark" Rachel looks at me then back at Chloe. Chloe nods and gets up getting into the drivers side. I get up and open the door for Rachel, "It's fine, you can go in the middle for once" Rachel chuckles as I get in and Rachel sits beside me closing the door. "let's go Chloe" I look over at Chloe as she nods and starts to drive out. I yawn and lie back on the seat, "you get good sleep at blackwell?" Rachel looks over at me as I shake my head. "Normally I'm staying up late finishing homework" I rub my eyes and feel Rachel put her arm around me. I instantly nuzzle into her since she is so warm and I think I feel asleep on her.

Rachel's POV

I put my arm around Max and she instantly nuzzled into me. I smirked as Chloe looked over then back on the road. "you are always the favourite Rach" Chloe rolls her eyes as I grin at her. "maybe that's because your driving" I rub Max's arm up and down humming the song she played. She groans and she falls down so her head is resting on me lap. "she is probably having a nightmare" I look over at Chloe and she nods. "she did use to have those allot" We sat in silent for about half an hour before I hear Max waking up. "have a good nap?" I smirk and run my fingers through her hair. She shoots up looking at me with wide eyes. "I fell asleep on you?! I-uhm sorry" She puts her hands over her face, "Wow Caulfield you're actually embarrassed" Chloe says keeping back a laugh. I lean over and smack her leg "oh Jesus Chloe leave her alone" I giggle as I put my arm back around Max and she leans into me. "okay okay I'll stop" Chloe pulls out a cigarette and lights itand puts it in her mouth and drives at the same time.

After a few minutes Max took her hands away from her face. I lay my hand on my lap with my palm face up so she could see. She puts her hand over mine and looks at me. Chloe parks and she comes up behind Max wrapping both her arms around her. "eh?!" Max's eyes widen with surprise as Chloe hugs her. I laugh "somebody jealous?" Max look back at Chloe "what? no!" Chloe burries her face into Max's hair to hide how red she is. "Chloe that tickles!" Max laughs. "Anyways we are at Rachels let's head in" Chloe hops out and comes around to the door and opens it. "My parents aren't home tonight so we will be good" I get out and help Max out and we walk to the front door.

No one's POV

Rachel opens the door and Max and Chloe walks in. Chloe goes straight upstairs but Max waits for Rachel. "your house is giant Rachel, It's actually kinda scary being in a house this big" Rachel laughs and locks the door before wrapping an arm around Max's side holding her close. "don't worry I won't  let the monsters get you" Max looks at Rachel whp said that comment in a joking voice. "Not that kind of scary" Max pouts as Rachel smirks and Walks upstairs. They go into Rachels room to see Chloe isn't there, "bathroom probs" Rachel relases Max and walks to her closet. "you can borrow some of my clothes, your ones need a wash" Rachel tossed Max some grey jeans and a red check shirt while she takes out a purple t-shirt and the same brand of jeans for herself.

After changing Max sits on Rachels bed hanging her legs of the end. Rachel sits close to her putting her rigth arm aroud Max's neck and lays her head against her pulling her knee up to her and letting her other leg fall of the bed beside Max's. Max puts her left arm around Rachels waist holding her as Chloe comes in. "hella yes" Chloe lies down with her head on Rachel's leg and Max's lap. She let her arm fall of the bed as Max plays with Chloes hair with her free hand.
