It's not goodbye, it's see you later

Trevor's POV

The rest of the week went bye in a flash. We went to some more Ducks practices and hung out with Callie and Amelia.

Brayden and I made up and everything went well and Coach Eakins was impressed with the boys and I. We became like brothers in such a short amount of time. Sadly yesterday was our last time all together before winter break when we will come here for a similar visit.

But today is the day I was dreading. Today I have to go back to Boston. Don't get me wrong I love hockey and Boston, it's just I'm really going to miss my girl. Also Amelia, she is like that annoying sister you want to murder. She is the Anaheim version of Ava, my sister.

Callie and Amelia came to pick us up and take us to the airport.

Once we got there we checked in and said goodbye to the girls. I first said goodbye to Amelia and I could see she was as sad as I was.

"Goodbye idiot, I will miss you" she said giving me a hug.

"Take care of my girl will ya?" I asked.

"Always" she said and at this point she was tearing up. She gave me one last hug and went to say goodbye to Henry.

Now was the part I dreaded. Saying goodbye to Callie. This girl changed my world in a week and I know it's early but I'm slowly falling.

"Well you know distance makes the heart grow fonder" she said with a sad chuckle.

"I'm gonna miss you so much baby" I said wrapping my arms around her and blinking back some tears.

"I'm gonna miss you too Bubba" she said looking up at me with red puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"Don't cry, it brakes my heart to watch you like this" I cooed caressing her cheek.

"I hate to break this up but we really have to go" Henry said.

"Promise me you won't leave me or cheat on me with a Boston puck bunny" she said looking at me vulnerably.

"Babe I won't do that ever, you are my only girl" I said reassuringly.

"Promise me you won't leave me for a surfer that says dude every five minutes" I said trying to light the mood. She chuckled.

"It's just that they are older and I'm just a senior and they are more mature-" she started rambling and I cut her off.

"Baby look at me, those girls can flirt and look at me but they are not you, ok? You are perfect and I wouldn't change this for the world" I smiled and kissed her.

"Ok, I guess it's my cue to leave you" she said kissing me once more.

"Remember this isn't goodbye it's a see you later" I said.

"See you in December" she said waving

With one last goodbye Henry and I made our way towards security.

We got in the plane and I was dead quiet.

The plane ride went the same as when we arrived but you could tell that Henry and I weren't in the mood to talk. We missed the girls.

We got to Boston and now it was time for Henry and I to go our ways. I would go to Boston university and he would go to Harvard.

"Bye man, see you in some time I guess, don't let the smart people get to you" I joked.

"See ya, don't die in Terrior territory" he said with a crooked smile.

I texted Callie saying I got to Boston and waited for my Teammate, friend and roommate Case to pick me up.

He got to the airport 5 minutes later and opened the trunk to put my luggage in.

"Hey man" Case said.

"Hey bro how is it going?" I said.

"Good, soooo Rowdy told everyone in the NTDP group chat that you got yourself a California girl, a High schooler to be exact" he said smirking.

"Yeah and she is a senior so it's only one year" I said.

"Bro all of your latest Instagram posts are with her and you even have a highlight called 'my girl', you are soooo whipped" he said laughing and I gave him the finger.

"Vlasic is surprisingly cooking now so be aware of our new chef" he said.

We went into Alex, Case and I's house we share and I instantly got the smell of pasta. Lasagna to be exact.

"Dang Vlasic, you are a chef now" I said impressed. He flipped me off and put his 'masterpiece' on the table.

We put on a Bruins vs New Jersey game and cheered on Jack because we are and I quote 'the best friends Rowdy could have'.

After the game and lasagna that was actually good, we each went to our rooms considering tomorrow we have early practice.

Since there is a time difference with Anaheim, it was not too late to call Callie so I decided a FaceTime won't hurt.

She picked up at the third ring and her face instantly lit up the camera.

"Hey babe" she said.

"Hey baby I miss you" I said and then someone yelled "whipped" from a room.

"Who was that?" Cal asked

"My weird ass roommates Alex and Case" I said.

Suddenly I got tackled and saw a grinning Case and Alex talking to Callie. After I finally got back to Callie she was laughing.

"I'm so sorry, what did they do?" I asked embarrassed.

"Trev don't worry, they just gave me their Instagram and snap and they told me a funny story of when you peed on the rink in Michigan" she said laughing and I could feel myself turn deep red.

"Tomorrow you go back to school?" I asked desperate to change the topic.

"Yeah, I'm so not excited to go to that hell hole" she said.

We kept on talking before I saw it was really late. I said goodbye to her and once my head hit the pillow, I blacked out.
