Tell me why I'm waiting for someone that couldn't give a fuck about me

Trevor's POV

It's the beginning of March and my life has been absolute hell.

Hockey is going well and Logan is recovering but I feel empty.

I feel like a robot. My roommates and Thrun have told me I'm not the same, but I can't do anything about it.

I miss Callie and I'm a douche for leaving her.

I have a box filled with memories with Callie.

I have the tickets from the game in October, her perfume she gave me when she came to Boston, her scrunchie, and I have the necklace I gave her in Disney.

When Thrun gave it to me in the airplane, I felt my heart shatter.

The reason I'm telling all of this is because I have to find a way to get her back.

I realized how much I love her after a video Amelia sent me.

It was a video of her crying and in the background you could hear the song Tell me why I'm waiting by timmies

After hearing that video I felt as if my soul just got kicked and punched.

Amelia captioned the message with a very descriptive message.

Amelia: hey asshole, this is the last time I will ever talk to you. You fucked my girl up. My Callie Josephine Jennings that always has a smile on her face is now dark and gloomy. She only gives half hearted smiles. I hope you are happy because she certainly isn't. I don't care your reasoning behind the break up but when she got you to talk on New Years she was going to say the L word. After that she was crushed.

When I read that I was shocked, she was going to tell me she loved me.

As if that wasn't the only reassurance that I messed up and needed her back. A couple weeks ago was that match she was talking about.

Seeing Brayden there instead of me crushed me and I decided that I would do anything in my power to get her back.

At least she looked happy, I still can't believe I caused her sadness and hurt. I mainly liked her beachside of her happy and peppy attitude so knowing I took that away was unacceptable.

After a lot of thought I finally decided to call Amelia and hope she would pick up

She didn't

I decided to call her again but using Henry's phone so she would pick up.

So I drove up to Henry's dorm in Harvard do sort this out.

"Hey man, what are you doing here?" He asked once he opened the door

"I need your help" I said entering his dorm and sitting on his bed.

"What's up?" He asked curiously.

"I need your help getting Callie back" I deadpanned

"Why?, I saw her a couple of weeks ago and she isn't the same, she is hurt. Also you never told me why you broke up in the first place" He said.

"Straight to the point I see" I said jokingly trying to to lighten up the environment with some humor.

He just stood there and looked at me.

Callie and I breaking up didn't affect my friendship with Henry. But I know he isn't happy about what happened. He tends to get really protective with Callie and knowing I hurt her makes some weird tension.

"Ok so basically I broke up with her because as you know Logan had an injury and told me to step in for him. And well to say I was nervous was an understatement. Next month is the frozen four and we need to win it. Logan is counting on me and he told me that I didn't need distractions or anything.
So me being the genius I am decided that breaking up with her would kind of make me focus on hockey more.
Spoiler alert, big mistake so as you can see I miss her and I can't stand the thought of not being with her.
Then Amelia sent me a video and I decided to do a big gesture to get her back. So that is where you come in. Amelia doesn't answer me because she is pissed and I need your phone to talk to her and get her to help me" I said running out of breath

"Okay, I'll help but if you hurt her again, I won't hesitate to punch you" he said in a passive aggressive tone.

He gave me his phone and I searched for Amelia. I bursted out laughing when I saw the contact name.

Amelia Bedilia 😘🖕🏻

I pressed call, not knowing what to expect and I was surprised when she immediately picked up.

We talked for a bit after finally coming up with a plan.

March 24 Callie's school has the annual spring formal. Amelia will make sure that no guys ask her and I don't doubt it because Amelia is scary when she wants to be.
Amelia will talk with the principal to have Callie come up to the stage and then a video with some of our best memories will appear and then I will come out and explain myself to her and ask her to take me back again.

After that I left Henry's dorm and made my way to my truck to head home and start sorting out the details.
