Next Week

Skylar's POV

My mind was drifting as I made my way to where Rafe was staying. He told me to come over, so I quickly got ready and headed over. As I walked onto the balcony, I noticed his little sister was there as well.

"Oh hey," Rafe said, putting his bong under the table. Wheezy turned to me with a smile on her face.

"He offered me drugs. Want some?" She smiled at me.

"I do not, actually," I said, placing my bag on the floor. Rafe gave me an apologetic look, but I ignored it.

"How'd you con the Glisson's into letting you stay here?" Wheezy asked Rafe.

"I, uh, I didn't tell them is how, all right?" Rafe told her. I leaned back in my seat, biting at my lip. It seemed like Rafe had been lying, or leaving out key details, of a lot of things since we made it official. It had only been a week, but I had seen a difference. I knew he was drinking and smoking a lot more than usual. I stay quiet while the two siblings talked.

"Sarah and dad are going to the Bahamas, and did they invite me? Nope," Wheezy shrugged. Rafe looked as if he was thinking about something before turning to his sister.

"Wait. They're- they're going to the Bahama house? In summer?" Rafe questioned.

"Yeah. I mean, according to Rose, it's 'business'," Wheezy explained. Rafe leaned back looking flustered.

"What's wrong with that?" I asked him. Rafe stood up, throwing his hands around.

"You know, I- I know about, like a billion times more about the business than she does. What is this?" Rafe fumbled with his words. I could tell he was getting worked up, but I didn't know how to stop him.

"We're the black sheep. Get used to it Rafe," Wheezy shrugged. She picked up her bag to find something inside as she baa'ed like a sheep. Rafe grabbed her arm and I quickly stood up, pulling her away from him.

"Rafe, what the fuck?" I yelled at him. Wheezy threw the money she took from her bag at his chest.

"Here My life's savings," she rolled her eyes. Rafe picked up the money, falling over in the process. I rolled my eyes at his behavior. He couldn't even get his shit together for five minutes while his sister was here.

"I'll pay you back," he told her.

"Whenever," she shrugged.

"I know this looks really bad right now and everything, but I'm going to get my shit together, okay? Like, I will. For both of you, I will," Rafe nodded, looking us the two of us. Rafe sat back and hit the cushions of his chair.

"Yeah, well I should go," Wheezy nodded. I touched her arm, giving her a small smile. She returned the smile before leaving. When I heard the front door shut, I ran my fingers through my hair.

"What the hell made you grab your sister like that for? I've never seen you like that," I groaned. Rafe counted the money in his hands, shaking his head.

"She pissed me off," he told me.

"Oh. Okay. And what happens when I piss you off, huh? Are you going to grab me like that? You going to hit Cameron?" I spat at him. He looked up at me before putting the money down and walking towards me.

"No, Sky. I wouldn't ever do that to you," he expressed. I looked away from him, taking a deep breath. "Hey, look I have to get to the airport, okay? I have to talk to my dad."

"Rafe just let them go. God, why do you have to try to overrule Sarah in everything?" I fought back.

"Because she's a bitch!" He shouted. I grabbed my bag from the ground, turning back to Rafe.

"Whatever. Call me whenever," I said, placing a kiss on his cheek before leaving.
