A/N: I thought I would include the cast I imagine playing the six queens, but you can imagine the characters as anyone you want.
Katherine of Aragon- Lauren Drew
Anne Boleyn- Millie O'Connell
Jane Seymour- Lauren Byrne
Anna of Cleves- Shekinah McFarlane
Katheryn Howard- Tamzin Merchant
Emma Smith-White- Georgie HenleyI have also changed History a fair bit so that it fits with the story I want to tell. While up until this point, it has been little things that I have changed, I am now changing Katheryn Howard's fate. Sadly for her, it is worse than getting beheaded.
Hey, I see that axe you're about to throw.
Kitty Howard needs a protection squad. I know a lot of people within the Queendom say that, but in this story, she will need that sort of help. She and Emma will go through a tough time, and I start to talk about that in this chapter.
Remember to comment as I love hearing your opinions (and please add anything that you think I can improve on). I hope you enjoy the chapter.
We are beginning to work on our project, mainly discussing what we can do for a video. 'We don't want Henry in it, and we want it to take the wives' point of view,' I say. 'Any ideas?'
'What about a music video?' Kitty asks. 'I'm taking music lessons so I can compose, we can all write the lyrics, buy costumes, things like that.'
'But what about where we will film it?' Katherine asks.
'That is a good point.' We continue thinking, but unless we film it in someone's back garden, we don't have much choice.'I have a big open space in my back garden,' Anna says. 'You should all come around later this week and check it out.'
'We will,' Katherine promises. 'Right, music. Kitty, what sort of things can we do?'
'What sort of feel do we want?'
'Pop?' I suggest. 'That seems rather popular; then we can style each queen after a certain artist if we like.' The others nod. We decide how we want to style each queen and include colours we want to use, things like that. 'We need to do a song that all of the wives can be part of, a bit like that rhyme. Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived.'
'That's a stupid rhyme. It doesn't even scratch the surface.' Katheryn says. We agree. 'The queens can debunk that rhyme, claim their lives as their own rather than something people can talk about in only one sentence. Emma, I don't know what books you were reading about me, but I wasn't beheaded.'
'What?' I go to check the biography I brought with me about Katheryn Howard. In front of my eyes, the chapter 'Syon Abbey' changed to 'Labyrinth Castle'. 'What? The same thing happened when I thought that Emma Smith-White was Catherine Parr. So what happened to Katheryn Howard?'We begin thinking of a song, Kitty starts to make music on the guitar she brought with her. We smile as the music starts to take form, and Kitty writes the sheet music so some other people can help. By the time we disband for the day, we have most of the music for the song and costumes planned. We will go to my house tomorrow to begin putting lyrics to the music and sort out who will make which outfits. We will probably make for ourselves, but we'll see how it goes.
That evening, I am searching through my collection of books on Katheryn Howard, when I find something. I turn to the contents page. One of the last chapters is called 'At Luna's Mercy'. So, whoever Luna was, she murdered Katheryn on the orders of the King. If I ever find her, I will break her jaw.
The next morning, I tell my parents what our plans are. 'We'll have to lock the attic,' Mum considers. 'But that's easy enough unless we need to save the world.' I nod and begin telling them about the project we are working on when I remember something they were talking about yesterday. While we were talking about the Six Wives of Henry VIII, they kept on calling the queens' we,' 'us,' or for a specific queen, 'I.' What could this mean?
