Why am I like this? (ON HIATUS)

Chapter 2

Hope's POV

We were at our cabin and Jaimie wanted to get to know the first-timers. "Let's go around in a circle and say out names and where we are from and then just some facts about yourself, like your hobbies and things your good at."

"Hi everyone, my name is Irene, and I'm from Maryland. I love to play basketball and yeah I'm athletic."

"So firstly my name is Christine Kwak, I'm also from Maryland and I'm not good at anything lol."

"Well I'm the other Christine, Christine Kim and I'm from Maryland also. I like to go on my social media a lot hehe."

"My name is Joanna, I'm from Penn and I'm really lazy but I enjoy most sports, ironic I know."

"Hi guys my name is Ruby, I'm from Penn also and I like to dance."

"Hi peoples my name is Ellen and I'm from New York. I really like volleyball."

"Hey girls my name is Connie I'm from Penn also and I really enjoy volleyball also and I'm also on the varsity volleyball team for my school."

"Hey. My name is Leah and I'm from Penn and I'm happy to be here."

*one more person and then it'll be my turn to introduce myself. Uh-oh* I thought cause I was really nervous.

"Hi my name is Lydia and I'm from New York. I really love anime and video games."

*Uh-oh. Its my turn now. What do I like to do? What are my hobbies? Wait what's my name again???* I panicked.

"H...hi m..my n..name is... H..Hope. I'm f..fr..from New York. I like to play volleyball and I l...like t..to s..sing." I managed to blurt out.

"Okay girls well I'm your counselor and my name is Jaimie. Some of you may already know me from past years. I'm from New York also and yeah let's have a fun week at camp! Oh I almost forgot, I have to take your phones away because they are not allowed this week, you will get them back at the end of the week."

Just then someone came to tell us that we had to report to the pavilion for dinner. We all got up and walked to the pavilion.

(At the pavilion)

"Thank you God for giving us food!! Thank you God for giving us food!! For the food that we eat, for the people we meet thank you God for giving us food!!!!" Everyone shouted.

I looked around at everyone clueless and I asked Lydia what that was and she told me it was some kind of traditional chant they did before every meal. I looked at her like she was crazy cause I had no idea what they said. But she told me not to worth and that I would catch on soon.

We finished eating and we all headed back to our cabins. Since we didn't have our phones, we were kind of bored plus it was the first day so we didn't really do anything.

*Fast forward to Monday*

Monday Day 2

We were woken up by one of the counselors. We all got up went to the washroom and got ready. Since it was cold outside we were all either dressed in leggings and a sweatshirt or sweatpants and a sweater. For our hair it was tied into a messy bun because we were all too lazy to actually do something with our hair.

After morning exercise we went to the pavilion to eat breakfast.

*Fast froward to afternoon*

We were all gathered at the field and Donny the director told us that we were going to compete in the Pioneer classic (basically like the Olympics but our camp version)

We were split into alpha and omega based on our shirts, we all got either a gray or maroon colored shirt from our counselor before we were gathered. Gray was alpha and maroon omega.

Of course I was on alpha and I was disappointed because I was told that omega had won almost every single year. I am a competitive person and I wanted to win so badly.

I saw the guy who smiled at me before and he did it again today. I learned his name by asking around camp and I found out his name was Jungkook.

Yeah we lost and almost every omega on the team got a medal. They got the trophy and the representative for the omega team was John Lim one of the older campers. He gave a speech just for fun and like that the day ended.

Little did I know that things were about to get confusing and messy tomorrow when the late arrivals came. Hearts were going to be broken and friends betrayed.

(A/N- Guys sorry its soon about to get interesting but please bear with me. What did you think so far, I'm sorry but I'm jot really experienced since this is my first story.
