At the studio, Abby was talking to Megan, Gianna, Lauren and Skye as they were ready for a new week in the studio, then they saw Shane arrive and he came in.
"Hey, bro." Skye and Lauren greeted.
"Hey, Shane." Abby and Megan stated.
"What's happening?" Gianna asked.
"Well, before school was out today, i got a phone call when i got in my van and it was from the DanceTroupe competition director named Franklin and he told me that there was an issue about the awards, the duet that Maddie and Kendall did originally was first place, but it was actually second place. So i had to let you all know when i got here and mom, it's like you always say, second is the first to lose." Shane responded as Abby, who had an agitated look on her face told Gianna to put the correct information in.
"You know it." Abby told him.
"So they didn't win after all?" Megan asked.
"Sadly, yes." Skye muttered.
"Yeah." Lauren added.
"Thanks for giving us the heads up." Gianna commented.
"You're welcome, i'll go into Studio A and change some placings in the pyramid." Shane stated.
"All right." Abby told him.
Shane went past the front desk and went into Studio A, there, he adjusted the pyramid, once the girls and moms all arrived, they were all in Studio A waiting to start the week as Abby and Shane came in.
"Once again, we're not really happy. When we had left the competition, everyone was talking about how fantastic, amazing and awesome you were, being big winners and all, but nothing blew me, Mom or Gia away. Also, just to let you know, the duet that Mom, Gia and i cooked up for Maddie and Kendall to do actually did not win because as school was dismissed for the day, i got a phone call as i got in my van and it was from one of the DanceTroupe competition directors and he let me know that there was an error and the duet had gotten second place and you know how mom feels about second place." Shane said as Maddie, Kendall, Melissa and Jill looked crestfallen after hearing the duet actually got second and not first.
"At first, we thought that Greensboro turned out to be a smashing success, but it was actually a huge letdown, we saw the group and a mix of superb and horrendous dancing." Abby stated, then she turned to Kendall. "Who's place did you take?"
"Sophia's place." Kendall responded.
"If Sophia had been here this week, you would have been in the background and here's someth, when you are here rehearsing for competitions and keep messing up, you don't need one of to stand there and point out every one of those flaws!" Shane told them. "Mom, let's kick off the pyramid, you start."
"Thank you, Shane." Abby commented, then she revealed the first headshot which was Kendall's headshot.
"Next we've got..." Shane revealed Nia's headshot. "Nia, what part of it's all about the team don't you get? It's all for one and one for all, Kendall is there you just went with her!"
Holly and Jill rolled their eyes at Abby and Shane, who ignore them.
"This week, the group will be an acrobatic routine called Arabian Nights and Chloe, it's gonne start with you doing a standing back tuck that Shane helped you out with in the offseason, is that all right with you, Christi?"
"Since Shane helped, i'm cool with it." Christi replied.
"Good. Also, Chloe has a solo called Haunted and Mackenzie, you've got a solo as well called Dancing Barefoot. All right, moms, you're dismissed and girls, warm up."
