"Oh babydoll, you're still awake?" I heard a voice above me ask.
I frowned looking up at the faceless man of my dreams. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep. I want a story," I whined, rubbing my eyes.
He sat on my bed wiping his hands on hi knees with a sigh, "I don't know if you should get one, you stayed up late. Only good girls get storytime," he reminded. I nodded and went over to him curling up in his lap.
"Pretty please? I'm sorry daddy," I said quietly. He sighed and brushed my hair away from my face soothingly.
"Once upon a time..."
I woke up from the sound of ringtone blaring. It was Kill This Love by Blackpink. It always startled me every time someone called me, I really needed to change it.
It was an unknown number, I answered skeptically. "Hello?" I said slowly, confused, still groggy.
"Oh, did I wake you? Sorry," I heard Liam say softly on the other line. I totally forgot I even gave him my number last class. I was too busy drowning in my mid day nap.
"N-No it's okay! I just woke up before you called. Um, hi," I said quickly, feeling flushed already.
"Okay good," He said in relief. "I was wondering if you wanted to go get some coffee or something so we can catch up on the first assignment together."
I felt instantly excited and terrified at the same time. "Yeah that would be awesome," I replied cooly.
It was like I could feel him smiling through the phone, "Okay, I can meet you at Nirvana Coffee just text me the address and I'll be there at 7. Sound okay?" He asked softly.
My heart was melting with every word he said. His voice was so full and velvety, I could listen to him talk all day.
"Sounds good!" I said, and then we hung up.
It was time for me to get ready for what I hoped would be an amazing night.
