"Where have you been?" Questioned Avi as I walked in. "It's 11 o'clock!"
"And?" I asked.
"You didn't answer my question. Where have been?"
"At Alex's, why?"
"With Travis?" Kevin and Avi shouted in unison with the look of horror on their faces.
"Kind of. He said that he's going to get me into shit but I spoke to Mitch and I think I'm sorted."
"You spoke to Mitch? You are really going to piss him off! Jesus Scott. He's literally going to kill you!" Avi said.
"Why? Because I spoke to his 'boyfriend'? There is something going on there and Mitch seems like a nice guy. He doesn't deserve shit! I'm going to find out what's going on between them before he gets hurt." I stated.
"Trust me Scott, we've all tried to find out but Travis doesn't let Mitch talk to anyone so there is no way to ask him and how else are you going to find out? It's not like Travis is going to tell you, is it?" Kevin said before leaving to go to the bathroom.
"Scott, trust us! Don't get into it. It's messed up. Travis is bad news. If it's that bad, Mitch would get help but he isn't so I'm sure he's fine." Avi said with his hand on my shoulder in an attempt to win me over.
"It just doesn't seem right! Why is Travis so controlling over him? I don't get it!"
"I can tell that you get into all the shit that you do through curiosity."
"Yeah... I do..." I said sadly. It was true though! My curiosity got me into shit every time but this time I needed to do it to help someone else.

I got into bed after my conversation with my roommates and tried to think of a plan to figure everything out between Mitch and Travis but I got nothing. Absolutely nothing. It's not like I could get an answer from Mitch because he barely even kept the conversation going when I met him in the hallway and there is no way that Travis is going to let me speak to him. I would have to find out another way.

The next day at lunch I sat down with the boys and ate my lunch. After a few minutes of chat, Travis crept over and didn't look at me or say anything.
"Hey Travis. Where's Mitch?" Jeremy asked.
"None of your fucking business! Stay out of it." Travis spat. Everyone exchanged a few looks and went back to what they were eating like nothing had happened. I was suspicious though. Avi must have noticed because he started texting me.

Avi- Don't.
Avi- It happens all the time. They've probably had a fight.
Avi- I'm serious Hoying!
Scott- I'm just going to see if Mitch is okay
Avi- Don't Scott. Remember, this is your last chance. Don't ruin it because of your curiosity of an extremely private relationship.

With that I left to find Mitch. What Avi was saying was true, although I just had to find out! I needed to know what was going on.

I knocked on his dorm door but I got no reply. I tried again but yet again no one replied. Either he was ignoring me or he was somewhere else. After trying the door one last time, I turned around and I was suddenly thrown back against the wall behind me.
"You looking for someone?" Travis asked with a smirk playing on his lips. He held both my hands above my head and had me completely pinned against the wall. I tried to push him off but although I am tall, he was the same height as me and he was a broad guy.
"Who are you looking for? Mitchie?" He asked bringing me off the wall for a split second, then slamming me back against it. I winced in pain but nodded in response.
"Listen here Scott, I didn't do shit to him. We got in a fight and we are taking some time apart. You got a problem with that Scottie boy?" He knew he had won because if I even lay a finger on him, he could get me kicked out of this school straight away with Mitch on his side. Travis snarled at me. His vile-smelling breath invading my nose.
"That's what I thought!" He said pushing me onto the floor as the bell for next class rang. I will have to be more careful next time.
